Completely agree. I was not saying this about all or even the majority of homeless people....just that I'm sure some are scammers.LostLamb said:Nick_29 said:. Yes, the "homeless" indeed.
Do not get me wrong...I know there are some honest people out there really hurting and struggling to get by.....but sometimes I wonder just how many out there are scammers.
Thanks for your rebuke, JoJo. I think I was too quick to judge. I know I"m gulty of this a lot.JoJo said:We discussed this photo in a previous thread. There is no way, without knowing the person behind the cell phone, we can make any judgment on why that person has a cell phone. For instance, did you know that cell phones are often donated to homeless people so that they can call 911 if necessary? As long as the cell phone is charged, the user can call 911 and take pictures (if the phone has a camera).
People are too quick to judge and it saddens me.

just my 1/2 penny
Then I only assist when the Lord is urging my heart to do so.
When i follow this guideline, I have never been resentful or fooled.
You are pretty quick to judge without knowing the true circumstances.JoJo said:We discussed this photo in a previous thread. Does that mean that the person standing in line for food for the "homeless" gets a free supscription to keep his blackberry on? Storing photos on a free phone without a subscription.... is that possible? Then maybe I should have a free discarded blackberry phone just for the purpose of having a FREE CAMERA! I can't afford a new good quality digital camera! Mine is so old.... it takes pictures that are not so good as the ones taken by a blackberry. I know, because I have family members who have a blackberry.... NICE picture quality.
Geez... I can barely afford to keep my cheap 10 dollar phone (no picture taking capability) on subscription for 20 bucks a month! :gah
.
And Michelle Obama working in a homeless soup kitchen?! Not on your life!GojuBrian said:Relic said:GojuBrian said:A blackberry phone is free here with 2yr subscription.

Relic,
I know what you mean! I have been restraining to get an iphone for quite some time because of the added expense I really don't "need".
The photo is just that, a photo. We don't know what is going on there at all, we only see a still moment in time. Is it a volunteer at the shelter that stepped in to take Mrs. Obama's photo? Is it a homeless guy at all? He's black and wearing cold weather clothes, so he must be homeless right? WRONG. We have no idea and only see a picture.
I posted this photo a few months ago here and after a reexamination I felt ashamed for jumping to conclusions.
