Prophecies of a Millennial Temple & Sacrifices?

I hear ya and understand what you are saying.

How do you understand this verse?

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

or this verse?

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Do you thimk that maybe Jesus was stating some "conditions" of the New Covenant?

Just a little sidebar to the topic at hand. I don't want to neglect Jason's questions.
Exactly. The baptism of the Jews is different than the baptism of Jesus Christ. He baptizes with the Holy Spirit, God himself.

Intial response....there are 2 comings of Christ...First off, Baptism is for adults, or those of age....of course God will mete out his spirit (as Jesus recieved) as in accordance of Isa 11:2. Believer's on their baptism (according to God's determination) should recieve a portion (or all) of the Holy Spirit as defined in Isa 11:2. Jesus recieved the full power of the Spirit which enabled him to accomplish God's purpose.

The second portion "fire" comes later during the Messianic Kingdom phase. The "fire" purifies, or purges the soul/spirit of it's sin. IMO.

That is a Jewish understanding of Baptism...Jesus is amazed that Nic doesn't understand this because being a pharisaic leader, he should be familiar with the concept....look up http://www.Jewishencyclopedia.com article on Baptism....it will mention that it is considered a rebirth....
Jhn 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Yes I do...but it's a here now (taste) , in full later (Messianic Kingdom) situation.

It is off topic isn't it....

Don't Hold Your Breath Waiting for the Temple!

The Real Prophecy of the Temple

One of the biggest deceptions in the end times will be the insistence that the Jewish Temple will have to be rebuilt before Jesus returns. Many Christians will say in that day, “This can’t be Daniel’s 70th week because the Temple hasn’t been rebuilt.†But the Jews will carry out their animal sacrifices secretly from the world (including animal rights activists) in the original location of the Holy of Holies- directly beneath centuries of rubble right under the Arab occupied Dome of the Rock.
Hal Lindsey reported in one of his books that he took a tour of the excavated tunnels on the Temple Mount and saw a sign pointing to the location of the Holy of Holies. The passage had been sealed off to tourists, but excavations were continuing beyond the view of the public. In the 90’s protests broke out when a new tunnel was opened under the Temple Mount, which almost provoked the Palestinians to rebellion because it was near their holy site.

I’ve heard some people say that the Muslim Dome of the Rock will be destroyed before a Jewish Temple can be rebuilt. Let me make this plain- every Muslim in the world will rise up as one if this were to ever happen (protests over cartoons will seem tame in comparison). The only way the Jewish system of sacrifices can be reinstated is if the original chamber of the Holy of Holies, which now lies under the Dome of the Rock, is used. The Antichrist will one day take over this Sanctuary Fortress for his base in the Mid-Week Mid East war. It will be the safest place on earth- directly underneath the Dome of the Rock- Holy ground to both Jew and Arab. We will never see a new Jewish Temple rebuilt to fulfill the prophecies of Daniel’s 70th Week. The only sign we will see, that Daniel’s 70th week has begun, is the final signing of a 7 year interim peace treaty between Israel and the Arabs. The last 7 years of Daniel’s 70th Week is not the Tribulation. Tribulation or the period of persecution happens after Mid-Week when Christians are persecuted for not taking the Mark of the Anti-Christ. The first 3 ½ years of Daniel’s 70th Week is actually a period of peace and prosperity. Therefore, if you are really a Pre-Trib Rapturist, then you are actually a Mid-Tribber because Tribulation doesn’t start till after Mid-Week. The big confusion among Christians is not knowing the difference between the Tribulation, or persecution of Christians, and the Wrath of God on unbelievers, which happens at the end of the 7 years.
