Prophesy about Florida

Now before we go and start blaming God for things like Sept. 11, Katrina, Rita, etc.... and start believing hokey prophecies like this Florida one, lets try and be reasonable. I just pointed out verses that show God won't destroy by floods of water, so we can rule out it being of God, from God. We need to distinguish between HIS sovereign will and HIS permissive will.

We also need to look closely at what really happened during Katrina. Here's God's permissive will again. So many were at fault for what happened down south... from the Army Corp. of Engineers to FEMA, Homeland Security, local, state and Federal officials.

Now lets look at what was left standing and who was hurt the most by all this. Big business seemed to up and running faster than one would expect. Some of the most decadent areas of N.O were left almost unscathed. Mardi Gras was up and running several months later.

The ones who took the biggest hit were the God-fearing people on the "wrong" side of the levies... the ones who scrimped and saved to own their own low income home in that part of town. The S.B.C. had a campaign going to "adopt-a-church" because many SBC churches down there were devastated and were in need of some serious assistance.

No, I don't see God in the destruction... I see HIM in the rebuilding and in the lives of the God-fearing people who were spared their lives. At least they still have that... and their faith.

Oh... 911. Why didn't God take out the ones who are planning to rebuild in that area of Manhattan? (just the thought of it makes me sad and angry) Why is it that evil was left to flourish while others perished, including police, firemen, etc.? None of what happened stopped or put a dent in capitalism.

Yes, God will have HIS way with the world, but on a scale that the world has never witnessed. Sorry for ranting... this is a sore subject for me. I know people in N.O., Gulfport and the WTC.

Actually Vic
Your wrong on this. Katrina was President Bushes fault. Don't you know that He controls the weather and tells these hurricanes where to go. Thats common knowledge :-D

On a serious note: While I do not for a second believe these to be any of Gods judgements, I do believe them to be birth pains. I coUld get into a big oh long post, but quite frankly that post on Hell has me tired..

LOL! Hey, what post on hell? :-?

Oh, while I'm still riled up :-D what about China, who for years has MANDATED abortions of females to control population and ensure a "fresh" crop of males to do "manly' work? Or what about the corrupted governments of places like East Timor, whos country is probably the poorest on earth? How about the mass genocide going on for years in Sudan?

Why are we proposing sanctions against N.Korea while we do NOTHING about Sudan at all? Why are the likes of people like Rick Warren and other liberal Christian leaders rallying up masses of Christians to fight for ecology and the environment? Why aren't they fighting for the lives of those who are either killed or left homeless in Sudan?

What about the homeless right here in the USA? Instead of claiming God is removing HIS protection from our country, we have to ask if HE is removing HIS hand of protection from the countries named above.

I posted this in another thread that alasdair had started. I copied it to move here.

Now and then false prophets take something of truth and twist it to the point that Christians throw the baby out with the bathwater. The strategy of the devil has often been to take some truth that God has spoken and twist it.

Keep your guard up, but keep the Christians in Florida in your prayers. I mentioned earlier that I live in Florida. There is a very strong satanic stronghold here. A very strong criminal stronghold here. The people have been through one hurricane after another. Rebuilding only to have it blown away again. Homes, cars, boats, and businesses were destroyed. The FEMA trailer parks that were meant to be a blessing, became problems, being used for drug sales and other criminal activity.

Nah 1:3 The LORD [is] slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit [the wicked]: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds [are] the dust of his feet.

Eight hurricanes in two seasons (aprox. the space of one year) have hit Florida. The citrus industry has been seriously damaged. The state is littered with broken trees from the eight storms that has become kindling in the dry fire seasons. The state budget has been stretched with the rebuilding of roads, bridges, etc. The insurance industry is raising rates in such a way that many people in Florida now have no insurance.

In addition to that, Red Tide has been so active in the past two or three years that it has seriously damaged the fishing industry and tourist industry. Red Tide is thought to be an algae bloom. The cause and cure has never been determined. What it does is kill the fish min the Gulf of Mexico. The beaches and canals become littered with dead fish, the smell is unbearable. While Red Tide is thought to be an algae bloom, I have noticed that it usually occurs after dusts clouds from Africa blow across the Atlantic. There is a large amount of iron in that dust, and my personal belief is that this is what causes the fish kill.

There have been many prophesies over the state of Florida, and I would love to be able to collect them all and sort through and pray over them. Many prophesies have come as warnings to repent and turn to the Lord.

A tsunami? Who knows? That is one plague that has not hit Florida. It was reported that there have been earthquakes occurring in the Gulf of Mexico. The "experts" do not believe that it could cause a tsunami on the west coast, but many believe that if the last one had been a bit stronger, and centered a bit more in one direction or another, that it might have happened. The tsunami that alasdair speaks of is supposed to hit the east coast. Al Gore's global warming video shows the waves coming up over both sides of the state.

What if it is all contingent on the relationship between Floridians (including winter residents) and God? Is God pleased with the people of Florida?

Hey good news gabby, no major storms your way this season. I guess God is not angry anymore. ;-) BTW, I am 18 miles from NYC... wanna trade crime stories?

J, thanks for the link. :)

Sorry, I don't feel like quoting .....and i've never really disagreed with vic before, so this is really scary :o ;-)

Vic...God only said He wouldn't flood the WHOLE EARTH again. "Never again will 'all life' be cut off by the waters of a flood." That doesn't mean flooding on a smaller scale won't happen as a result of God allowing it.

And... 1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

What i've noticed from scripture is God was especially longsuffering and attentive of those nations that had roots in Him yet had turned their back on Him; But when His patience ran out unpleasant things began to happen.
I feel the analogy of 'God disciplines those He loves' can apply to those nations, and also there are illigitimate nations which were never rooted in Godly principles or heritage that seem to have it made.

Thats not always the case or written in stone because I think pride is something else that moves the hand of God to judgement, no matter if the foundations of a nation is rooted in Him or not.

I also believe it rains on the just and the unjust, and I think there are divine principles which lead to safty in the midst of judgment. (unless it's your time to go or your death somehow brings glory to God)
That part belongs to God alone, i'm not qualified to know something like that.

I see these things happening, and know in my heart why there are greater threats against us as a nation now. I guess we'll see.
David Wilkersons Oct. newsletter was really good this month and it happened to cover this subject really well.

I used to be passionate about this topic and could go on and on(and it bothered me a bit too that some people didn't see the same things), but I guess I've gotten a little burned out with trying to convince anybody.
For that...you get the last word if you want it. :D

PS... I believe when the seven bowls are poured out, God will be using the natural elements to accomplish His will....I feel pretty sure people will be saying ..it's just 'global warming' gone haywire...or something like that.

Perhaps the last eight major storms did what they were sent to do. There are still places around here with blue tarps on the roofs, and businesses with broken signs in front of the buildings. One of the biggest businesses in this area, Tropicana, is leaving the state because of the damage to the citrus crops, as a result of citrus canker and storm damage.

Trade crime stories? Maybe if the next storm blows them all away so that they stop trying to blow me away. Vic, I am still dumb enough to believe that God is bigger than they are, I believed the Lord when He said "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."

You remember that Florida looks like a snake - God has put things all over the World that refer directly to the Bible. The USA itself looks like the whale of Jonah, and the woman riding the scalet beast is "hidden" at the top of Canada. http://www.worldends.co.uk

The website is the apocalypse, and the seven seals are broken.

What a nutcase!! :o But it doesn't surprise me that Imagican was influenced. :D

Imajic is the fellow that believes Jesus is a created being right. That Jesus is not God? So no its not surprising. Did he also not think that Moses built the ark :o

hmm, kinda agreeing with Destiny. I think global warming will have something to do with all of this because Global warming because the effects or after effects of global warming will cause great damage to the earth, leading to great things that seem natural... Just like this Flordia scripture.... and the earthquakes, and such.. Everybody who doesn't believe or read the bible have thought that it was a natural disaster, instead of realizing all of this was said to be in the bible.

Florida is like New Orleans. It is not a question of IF they are going underwater, it is a question of when. It could be in 100 years, it could be in 50 years. They have already had a lot of problems there. They have air currents and ocean currents that intersect with each other in that area. But the big problem is that they are so close to ocean level. So if the ice caps continue to melt and the ocean level continues to go up then it is a pretty sure thing that Florida will go under water.

One thing is for sure. If we keep burning the fossil fuel, then we will continue to have global warming. It is just now beginning to be a problem.

The Atlantic Ocean breeze blowing west, clashes with the Gulf breeze blowing east. As the sun heats the day, all of the moisture from these two breezes produce torrential downpours in the afternoon. An almost daily occurrence during the summer.

Thirty feet above sea level here.

Not commenting to this person

I am again posting to something not because I want to make a positive comment but because it is so unbelievable! That somebody can come on a christian forum and say the things he says the bible clearly does not say is unbelievable.
I do not call him names or any thing like that, but I think all of us who do not believe what this person is trying to cram down our throats should just ignore everything he is trying to say. I looked at the website and it is truely amazing that someone has put together such conclusions. This person is either really lost it, or he is having a great big joke on all of us.
I do not intend to read his junk anymore.
Love to all my christian friends.

This is one of my first posts on this forum. I live in florida on the east coast near cape canaveral just like another poster I live only a mile or two from the Ocean.

Well one of the things the original poster said among many other things that florida is one of the richest states. Well there may be some areas that have money. Most folks here are working class people florida is not known for their high pay that is for sure. You may have some top level jobs here and there but for the most part the pay does not match up.

If like the poster said this huge wave comes and wipes fla off the map all that water is going somewhere else next if it goes out the gulf side Texas and all the places effected by Katrina are gone too or parts of it.

I have never heard anything like this claim before sounds like a stretch to me.

If this doesn't come, as stated, the way you say its suppose to happen, your a false prophet deluding yourself and others! Thank God, were not living under Hebrew Law or you'd know what that means! I think this is non-sense and if it saves lives ok, if not your a fool! No one will believe after your prophecies prove false, ahh maybe cultists. Anyways, see you in April!

Alasdair, as an intelligent human being, how can you come to believe that the shape of states, countries or continents are somehow connected to the words of the Bible, to make such statements?

God expects us to use our mind! The Bible is a progressive revelation of God's redemption of mankind. To use it to make dire predictions based on whatever? is IMO far from the truth.

The "apocalypse", literally the "unveiling of Christ", has to do with the "the Lord's Day", that is, "the day of the Lord", spoken of so many times in the OT. It is all future and is concerned with Israel and the nations.

For and in depth study go to http://philologos.org/__eb-ta/default.htm. It is a great commentary by Dr. E.W. Bullinger.
