Purpose of the Millennium

Satan was bound for 1000 years, during the millennium when the Universakl Christianity was mandatory over all the known Roman World:


Rev. 20:3 And cast him, (this dragon, the subtle cultural system of exploitative sexual mores, that old serpent, cultural Paganism), into the bottomless pit (of time), and shut him, (Satan), up (1000 years so as to inhibit the culture of libidinal freedom and sexual excess), and set a seal, (THE CROSS), upon him, that he (could not maintain that pagan, astrological/mythological promiscuous religious subculture that) should deceive the nations (in the Western world) no more (with his pagan culture), ...

... till the thousand years (of the Dark Age of Monasticism) should be fulfilled (and the Renaissance of the Beast begin):

and after that, (in The Renaissance), he must be loosed (to open the adolescent subculture of ever increasing sexual permissiveness) a little season (since the end of the singular one Church over all Rome).
 
So was Satan locked up in the west, yet free to roam the far east, new world, sub-Sahara, Australia, Pacific isles, etc? More like house arrest.

Hi Hitch. No, judgement takes place at the end of the millennial day. At the 2nd Advent, we will all be instantly changed into our spiritual bodies to begin the millennial day. This takes place when our Beloved returns, right after the final tribulations.

Let me explain it to ya.....

At the 7th trump Christ returns,we are all changed,however though we will be in our spiritual bodies,all have not overcame,meaning there will be some that still can die the 2nd death,which is the death of the soul,that's why they are called the dead,because they have not put on immortality..........

The Day of the Lord is the millennium......The purpose of which is to be taught the true word of God,and not the word of man,as we mostly have now....................

this new Jerusalem, coming down from Heaven as the bride,

isn't the bride of Christ the Christians?

semi- eternal describes this pretty well.

What I'll call it is disdain for the work and Person of the Holy Spirit.

Oh yeah, I'm impressed. ;)

So we could say concerning Revelation 20:4 ". . they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years" was in actuality forty years?

Revelation 20:5 "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection." Again forty years?

Revelation 20:6 "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." When did this occur? Did we miss it?

Revelation 20:7 "And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison." So is this why we're in such times? Jesus only locked up Satan for forty years? Though now I must wonder when those peaceful forty years were.

In the current system the Holy Spirit is actively tending the kingdom growing on earth. Obviously this includes overall care for the flock. The entire set of programs built around the silly idea that Chirst is to return to set all things aright is a systematic denial of the reality and function of the Holy Spirit in history. And a direct conflict with what Jesus Himself said with regard to His own where abouts as it relates to the health of the Kingdom.

Get a clue. The Holy Spirit working on earth as Christ is enthroned in Heaven is the best possible situation for the expansion of the Gospel .

And it is a terrible shame that so many believers think their own ideas and desires are better. It shows plainly how well and how much they respect the Father.

Moreover, it is the belief that the Holy Spirit (God according to the Trinity) whom Christ (God according to the Trinity) sent to us, will ultimately fail. This failure of God then somehow warrants the pop-culture apocalypse. It is only a self satisfying delusion which entices those who desire to judge others, rather than witness to them.

the whole notion that Christ intends to sit over a temporary kingdom through physical domination is completely crackers.

Get a clue folks, the 'rod of iron' refers to shepherding , caring for the flock, leading it out of danger and providing what it requires, as He has been for 2,000 years. It has nothing to do with forcing people to complete ancient Jewish rituals and feasts.
 
It has always been the purpose for us to live on this earth,as it was created....That is why He created it.......When all is made right,this indeed is where we shall dwell,forever with God!!!!!
