Purpose of the Millennium

Zechariah 14:


9And the LORD shall be king over all the earth:

12 This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet,their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in theirmouths.

16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up yearafter year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.

18The LORD[b] will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.
 
Christians have nothing to do with the Millennium
Christian are saved by Jesus, they have nothing to prove, it's been finished by Christ.
who will live during this time
those who have lived and passed on up until the present time do not get a second chance unless scripture says otherwise(clue)
In thousand Year reign The King of Kings and Lord of Lords will rule with and iron rod
Satan will be bound, people will be forced to worship the King and celebrate the feast of tabernacle every year or suffer the punishment.
There will be bloodshed at this time
Christians are long gone waiting for the final Judgment then the reward in Heaven.
Christians have not part of the millennium.

Christians will have something to do with the millennium,they are the one's who reign with Christ,and doing the teaching....Tere will be no births because the age of flesh is over at the start....Flesh and blood cannot enter that kingdom!!!!

Screwy as it is its still par with most Millennial fantasies. I really like the 'forced to worship' bit .:silly
 
in2thelight said it very well, there are 2 great purposes for the 1,000 year millennial reign of Christ: We shall all be taught of the Lord and at the end shall be the Great White Throne Judgement where the Lord will seperate the sheep from the goats. The 7th day will have been completed and our Beloved will hand over the new kingdom to our Father.

I Corinthians 15:51 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,"

This mystery deals with a time when something is going to happen all over the earth to all flesh bodies, when these flesh bodies are not die anymore. Why will this be? Because all people living in their flesh bodies will be changed instantly from their flesh bodies, into their new incorruptible bodies. We have already established that each of us have two bodies, one is of the flesh, and the other body is a spiritual body that is within our flesh body. The spiritual body is not made alive or freed from the flesh body until the flesh body is done away with.

I Corinthians 15:44 "It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body."

I Corinthians 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

Not returning to a knew age,this happens at the 7th trump,and all flesh is changed,and this is why it's called the end of the flesh age!!!!!!!!!

This is also why ,it's noway possible for Christ 2nd coming to had been in ad70,for as scripture(not me) states,we would all have been changed......................So simple

Amen!!!!!

Revelation 20:9 "And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them."

This beloved city is Jerusalem where Jesus Christ and His temple will be at the close of the Millennium age. It is here where the glory of God is, and God's fire from heaven will come down to devour Satan and all his followers.

This is the "great day of God" when the full god-head comes to dwell on earth with His saints forever. This is different from the "day of the Lord", which was 1,000 years earlier, that took place at the seventh trump when Jesus Christ came and set up His kingdom for the Millennium.

I Corinthians 15:24 "Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power."

At the very end of the Millennium age, the Son will deliver His Kingdom up to the Father. At the time of the Judgment God will put an end to all the rule and all power and authority that Satan will have on this world, or anywhere. That is when God will send Satan and all his realm and all evil and those that chose to follow him into the lake of fire.

Doesnt judgement take place at the Second Advent?

The point is to regin with Christ during the millenium,also contrary to what people think,once Christ returns,we will never leave this earth.......

Revelation 21:2 "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband."

Revelation 21:3 "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."

LOl Now it getting worse.

All things ,all history leads to Christ reigning over an earth entirely populated by resurrected humans for a brief period , to be immediately followed by Chirst and all who were with him through the 1,000 years , moving en masse to ,,,the earth,,, to do what? To not rule and reign?

I mean if ruling and reigning were the purpose of the 1,000 years and eternity what is gained by either party,especially since all concerned are in her eternal sate, by doing exactly the same thing ,in the same state for any period of time?

Obviously you have no explanation for the thousand year semi eternal interval. Cant say I blame you, its difficult to defend in the more popular Millennial positions, impossible in yours.

sorry, that means the jews and gentiles in your millenium theory dont need the entire nt. it doesnt apply. ever heard of a judgement. he came to judge them jews then for regicide? and will return to the judge the world. its what the church taught for centuries and even in the first century it was taught. its mentioned by justin martyr.

it also amazes me that we think we have got his return figured out. i dont.
 
and justin martyr was a chialist. he believe in a thousand reign of christ from jerusalem but that the eternal ressurection and judgements were after that reing on the earth. no removal of the saints or any idea of jews in the temple doing the torah.

The millennium did come while that generation was still alive and it lasted the full 1000 years to the date:



Rev. 20:4 And I saw thrones (of Universal Christian authority) and they, (the 144,000 monks of Catholic monasticism: [Rev14:4]), sat upon them, (Christianity mandated as the ONLY legal religion in the Empire, in 380AD), and (theocratic) judgment was given unto them (in the days of Catholic Monasticism): and I saw the souls, (the spirit-like psyches or thinking) of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the (one) word of God, (Truth), and which had not worshipped (by participation in the paganistic practices and sexual excesses fueling) the beast (of the revival of that Roman Culture including the economic system which had been based upon selfish self-interest), neither his image (on his coinage), neither had received his mark (of ledgered accounts recorded) upon their foreheads, or in (wages in) their hands; and they, (the monks), lived (in their Monasteries after the appearance of the Gospels in 54AD)...

I agree that it doesn't make sense the way the various interpretations develop their own surrealistic senarios so as to accommodate the interpretation they will try to establish.

I tend to favor history and a factual agreemant between the scripture and the events we are looking for.

Then, I want to examine other passages that are related to this idea and find confirmation again:


Matt. 24:30 And then, (hearlding the end of pagan astrological worship: [Rev. 6:12-17]), shall appear (in the clouds, [1thess 4:16], to Constantine and 12,000 soldiers: [As reported to us by the historian of that very time, Eusibius]), the sign, (The Cross), of the Son of man, [Mat 26:64], (not the Son of God, which is a spirit, not a person), in heaven, (ushering forth the new paradigm of monotheistic Hebrew Christianity): and then shall all the tribes of the earth (i.e., the Western European Roman Empire) mourn, and they shall see the Son of man, (not the Son of God), coming (at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, which fully legalized and then legitimized Christianity in the Empire for the first time) in the clouds of heaven, (seen by Constantine himself and 12,000 soldiers as reported by Eusibius, the historian), with (socio-political) power ([Rev 4:11] in the establishment of Universal Roman Christianity), and great glory (as Universal Christianity is installed with a Pope, identifiable with Appollyon, the destroyer, Abaddon in the Hebrew: [Rev 9:11] the reign, 467AD, of Hilary I).
