Question from a newbie.

Hi I was just reading a thread and I wanted to make a comment but it was locked.
I was wondering why it was locked? Do threads get locked after a certain amount of people respond? It is a fairly new post(3/12/15)entitled Lets Talk About God's Will to heal.
One more question, I notice that in some posts there will be a sited scripture in a little box and when you hover over it with your mouse the whole scripture will pop up. How do you do that? So sorry if I am asking these questions in the wrong place. Like I said I am new and a little confused. I am trying to find my way around this site. Thanks so much for any help you can give me.
 
Hi and great to have you dear Sister Leah781. Threads that are sometime locked for cleanup if they can be due to our Terms of Service (ToS) rule infractions. It is possible the thread may be reopened.
As for the appearing of the scripture verse cited, that is a program added to our Forum server if I'm saying it correctly, and twill be quoted from the KJV unless designated otherwise such as Jn 3:16 NLT. I hope I was able to answer you. :)

Threads get locked for various reasons. Mostly it's because the kids won't behave.

The site uses a program that recognizes scripture or something like that. Just write the book, chapter and verse and program finds that passage and creates a link to that passage for further viewing. John 3:16.

Try it. :)

Is there something on the toolbar that let's me insert the scriptures?

Okay so I just type the scripture and the program automatically does the rest for me.

I just typed in the scripture above to see if the "magic scripture program works"
Now I will post it and see.

The only thing the program does is create a link. You must type your post just as you want the readers to see it. The program will not post the scripture for you.
 
Now my post is showing the link. When I first typed the scriptures nothing happened. Maybe it takes a second to connect the link. Thanks so much for your help.

Just "refresh" the page and it'll show up.

Would you like to learn how to "Tag" someone? Tagging is a way of telling another member of the site that you mentioned them in your post. This what a name looks like when it's been tagged. >>> Leah781
Move your cursor over the name and click it.

To tag someone, simply put this @ in front of the name you're tagging. >>> @JohnDoe.

Hi again. I think what you may be experiencing is the fact it doesn't show the effects of the program until you go away from the post and come back to it, but just in case I'll cite a few scriptures and the method.
Jn 3:16,17,18
Rom 10:9,10
I hope it works for you, and it is automatic.

It got locked because you would not agree with us.

If your on a PC, e-sword makes it real easy to copy and paste scriptures. If on Android then Mysword works "OK" if on Apple, throw it away and get a PC or Android.

You can also start your own Healing thread. Chopper started the other based on a teaching He had heard.

The Forum I made has a Like Mike button and Mike is Awesome button. You get two choices instead of One.
