Bible Study QUESTION: In What Form Is The Holy Spirit In Every Christian.

Good Scripture but how does He dwell in us?
As the Spirit of Love. His Spirit. I'm sure you are quite familiar with His Spirit are you not?

Sometimes we forget how simple it is to know God in Christ continually on an ongoing basis and how close He really IS at all times. But that is how He is there, within us.

How can this one Person split Himself up into 12 million Temples?
Boy, that's a toughie. We just know he can distribute himself that way:

"3And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them." (Acts 2:3 NASB bold mine)

Of all the forces that we know exist, the Spirit is the one that evades detection by science. We can't even identify it's substance, let alone how it operates in that substance. I remember thinking right after I was born again how the Holy Spirit is the best kept secret in all of creation. It was always in and around the world, but it wasn't until I got born again that I could 'see' him or even know that he existed. Meanwhile, the world remains oblivious to him.

Ok folk. Thank you for taking a stab at my almost impossible question. You've all come up with good answers. I'd like to run something by you folk to see if this makes any sense....

Matthew 8:5 "And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel."

I believe that this may explain some of what I'm asking in my OP. There is no obstacle for God to accomplish His will for a particular thing that He wants done. Lets take the example of the healing of the Centurion's servant. This Centurion, somehow believed that space and time cannot hinder a miracle of Jesus. In this case, healing according to God's Word in Isaiah 53:5 and Matthew 8:17 "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses."

There is a wonderful promise of YHWH in the Old Covenant passage in....
Isaiah 55:9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

Actually, V.9 hints that my OP question cannot be answered. I'm hoping though, we can come close. This verse of Scripture comes very close to what I have been praying about as far as an answer to my questioning mind....John 20:22 "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:" The breath and wind of the Lord interests me, like....

John 3:5 "Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
3:8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."

When we were born again and water Baptized. the Holy Spirit was the Agent of God that performed a great miracle by placing us into the Family of God. Now, I didn't see that operation of the Holy Spirit, I didn't notice to some great effect being born again, except I did notice that my stinking thinking did change, as well as my entire life began to change for the better. This whole change started with a step of faith, believing what the Scriptures said would save me.

Ah yes, believing the Scriptures. God's ways are above my ways, His thoughts are not my thoughts. God tells me thru the vehicle of the Word, that I have been indwelt, or that His Holy Spirit is in me and now my body is His Temple, and I must not grieve Him. This has happened to the 12 million other Believers as well. How does that work? No one knows except God Who made it possible, and I believe it by faith. Amen!!
