Question

Amen. There are so many speculations. Who knows what is correct. My favorite ideology is that God is Spirit. Jesus is Spirit. The Holy Spirit is Spirit . I imagine that spirituality is light an energy. The three spirits are like a family. I also like to imagine the Holy Spirit has the emotions of the feminine but this is just a theory. It just makes me feel good.
We are also spirit. The real you and me is spirit.
And also a part of the family.
Yes! This is good.

I think God is manly in a sense but also has a feminine side.
Like God created woman out of Adam.. woman: a part of man..
Just my thoughts on the matter tho..

Thanks for replying. The early church was divided into different factions until the council at Nicea. I like their ideology and might have voted to include their ideas in the Bible, but now it is too late. I

t is easy for me to bring controversy where none existed by rationalizing that I am educating people, but I am trying to stay away from these days. I just wanted to know where people stand on this issue.

The part of their ideology I am attracted to is the idea that if we were made in God's image then the Trinity must have some feminine qualities. If God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all male then why create both men and women in his image. I have wrestled with this issue all my life. My most radical fantasy is the God is masculine; the Holy Spirit is feminine; Jesus was androgynous. Of course they are all spirit so it doesn't matter really. I just can't let go of the idea that if we are made in his image there is more to the story than what was sanctioned at Nicea. God help me. ❤

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27 ESV

Dead sea Scrolls are the basis of the Bible so that is absolutely an interesting subject.

Gnosticism don't believe in a personal God as far as I know.
And I would avoid this belief system completely..

Link,

From where did you gain the information that the Dead Sea Scrolls are the basis for the Bible. Is Gnosticism godless?

Gnosticism denies love and moral responsibility. It has no real faith that love through Jesus and the cross changes us as humans. To be human is to be acceptable to God if we walk following Jesus. Through our struggles and our honesty and repentance we move beyond. The superficial of life and the depth of the eternal. Emotional perspective is key to the Kingdom, it's foundation and reality. God bless you
