It seems like America is becoming desensitized to prejudice and racist behaviours

There are so many Negro Jokes it makes me sick...

I hate the fact that the word
is held above everyones head.

It should not be look at with anymore attention.

What is the difference between Black and White comics?

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I heard a joke about black people. I'm well aware that I can't be as sensitive to it as you, Oats, and perhaps it's the circle of people I spend time with. But I don't hear it. I hear a lot of shots taken at Christians, but there again, it's probably because I am sensitive to it. :gah

I wish people would get over the whole race thing on every side of the argument. When we stop talking about race and focusing on race, race just might become an afterthought like hair or eye color.

I've often wondered if we allow ourselves to be too sensitive sometimes too when it comes to racist slurs, jokes, and prejudice. I honestly can't understand or come close to grasping what you must live with, Oats, but being of German ancestry has opened the door to some rather nasty comments for me but I try to let it just slide off my shoulders and move on. At the same time, I realize you must deal with a lot more than I do and I sympathize as best I can.

i did a ww2 reenactment as a german a got some of that, i was called murderer, kkk, etc. i told those guys i am a jew and also even if not you watched it.
it made them think. as some play the germans as they like the guns(most were american army vets) and also they make sure no hate speech is given just history to show what the other side did and why they did it.

it was fun for me.
