My mens Bible study group just finished reading this book. By David Platt and subtitled "Taking back your faith from the American Dream," this is a great book, but it will really make you question how we do things in church. Mr. Platt, the preacher
at Brook Hills in Birmingham Alabama, criticizes how far the modern church has fallen away from the ideals espoused by Jesus. He also teaches that Mathew 28:19 "Go ye therefore and teach, making disciples of all nations." is not just for those who are called, but that ALL believers are called to be missionaries. He also discusses the image that tv preachers seem to promote(greed) and how it comes across to people in other countries. I recommend this book to all.
