Most missions experts would agree that the Islamic world is the most unreached area on earth. Having taught in the Middle East for five years I found a few hardcore Muslims but most are friendly and easy to get along with. Reaching Muslims with the Gospel is not always easy when even churches are often illegal, but it is well worth the effort. In fact, there are many Muslim students attending major universities throughout the U.S. who would welcome the friendship of an American, even a Christian one. If we don't reach them while they are here in the U.S., there is little chance they will be reached when they return home.

ok yes the friendliness Is because of the arab idea of hospitality. we can use that .

Wise words, sadly falling on deaf ears. Or am I just too depressed by the many Islamophobes here?

I bought a book recently about a former Muslim who, according to what I was able to skim over while considering buying it, became a Christian because what he was taught as a Muslim prepared him to accept the gospel later on. Well, that's only part of the story.
I haven't read it yet, though. Have lots of reading assignments already.
The book is called "Teatime in Mogadishu: My Journey as a Peace Ambassador in the World of Islam", by Ahmed Ali Haile as told to David W. Shenk
