Regaining salvation...

There is sin within the flesh involved.

Sin indwelling the flesh and evil present with us is NOT forensic i.e. we can't cut it open and 'find it.' It is therefore an adverse spiritual working which the scriptures do call 'the spirit' of disobedience. Eph. 2:2, Romans 11:32.
Yielding to the lustful desires of this sin within our flesh, rather than using the power of the Spirit to put to death it's deeds is where the problem is.

It does what it does, as Paul shows us in Romans 7:15&19, which Paul was quite helpless to stop, because it was "no more I." It was in fact a foreign intruder in his own flesh, as Paul shows us. Just knowing this puts us at an advantage.

BUT, when we think it's just us, we have been deceived by it.

Have you been Baptized with the Holy Spirit?

And you can stop with the phony christian litmus test drill. I ain't playing nor do your antics intimidate me.

Marriage is probably the strongest form of Covenant,
Well there you go. No wonder you think salvation can be lost. You think the New Covenant between God and every believer (you know, the one where He promises every one of them Eternal Life) is weaker than the covenant between Jane and John Doe.

Thus one of the problems with anti-OSAS.

Malachi 2:16 LEB) “For I hate divorce,” says Yahweh, the God of Israel, ...
If God hates Jane/Joe breaking the marriage convenant between Joe/Jane (and He does!), image how much He'd hate breaking His Covenant with everyone who believes in Christ Jesus.

John 3:14-15 (LEB And just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, thus it is necessary that the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.”
