You don't have to like all of the teachings of the CC...neither do I.
However, to say that we don't even have to confess our sins to God is not biblical teaching.
John said that if we sin, we confess our sin and God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.
1 John 1:9
9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We are also called to obey God's word.
John said the those that believe in the Son will be saved...
but those who do not obey the Son will see the wrath of God.
John 3:36
36“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
I'm sure we all believe in the Grace of God, but sometimes I think we word our beliefs in such as way as to make it seem obeying is not necessary. I hope you don't believe this.
Jesus wants us to be a part of the Kingdom of God right here.
There are rules we have to keep to stay in that Kingdom.
Acts 10:35
35but in every nation the man who fears [worships] Him and does what is right is welcome to Him.
God does ask us to do what is right,,,and that is obeying Him.
