[ Testimony ] Rescued

Toward the end of homelessness, I decided that I no longer wanted to use drugs, drink alcohol, or do bad things. I went to a park one Sunday because a church went there once in awhile to speak of God and give us food. I asked for a Bible from them and they gave me a New Testament. That day I humbled myself and prayed to God and said, "Lord, if you want me to go left I will go left. It you want me to go right I will go right." I begged Him to give me money needed to get an apartment some how. That day, the Lord sent my parents to find me. They took me to GoodWill and bought me some clean clothes. Then we went to a hotel and I took a shower. My parents told me they would take me home. Before we left, my Dad prayed to God and thanked Him for bringing his prodigal daughter back home. I still have the Bible that was given to me at that park.

Angel, God blessing so good His timing is perfect... Sharing your rescue, you never know how many seeds of Life you have planted...

Oh my goodness Angel, you are such a very special lady! Our loving Heavenly Father was watching over you the whole time. He was not going to let you drift out of His love. When people are rescued by a direct act of God, such as your case, He has a wonderful path for you to follow. Remember this, His purpose for you has to do with your personality, and your heart. He sees in you things that you don't see, so get ready to do what seems impossible for you, but possible because of what The Holy Spirit see's way back in your heart that God placed there when you were born. You will be a very special servant of the Most High. I love you Angel, and more importantly, Jesus will hug you from the inside of you by the Holy Spirit. That way you'll know His intentions. :hug

Hey Chopper
Thank you for seeing good in me, and thank you for the encouragement that God will do good things in my life. Sometimes, all I see is my flaws, or fears, and I wonder how I could ever be brought back to the bold Christian I used to be in my teen years. (That's a story for another time.) satan has kept me from reaching out because of phobia's/trauma. I am healing, slowly, over time. I am praying for God to comfort me in specific ways so that I may pass on his love to others. Kind of like 1 John 4:12.

Chopper, you are an amazing Christian- and so genuine. I'm glad to have met you. Sending love right back atcha!

What a great testimony of God's power to work in out lives and show His glory when we finally yield ourselves to his wonderful will! Thanks for telling us about how He worked in your life that day!

Your beautiful testimony brought tears to my eyes as you shared the power and the graciousness and the incredible love our Lord has for you ... and for each of us. You truly are a special angel, brought to us literally by our Lord so we may learn & grow!

Thank you for being faithful to our Lord, Angel !

Oh my Dear Angel, all the thanks goes to our amazing, gracious Lord and Savior. Most of those words were our Lord speaking thru me to you. I'm only His servant. :hug

Hi Angel. Thanks for your beautiful story. Anytime you can only see your flaws and fears, remember 2 Corinthians 12v9, where God says to Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness". God can actually use your imperfections for His own glory if you let Him. In fact that's something I just realised in my own life. He has made you as you are for His own amazing purpose, and His purpose will be fulfilled in you.
