Rotator Cuff Surgery

I have been married longer then you have been alive...
That's awesome. And it stands to reason that you're in good health. Women break us down over time. I think it's all a part of your master plan.
I can buy a ball joint and do the job.
Yes, I'll take my shoulder to a mechanic so he can overcharge me for something other than my car. Great.
Getting old is good.
Think of the alternative...
Ever the optimist!

That's always the hook. Then after that, it's like "Hey Mike, while I was in your shoulder, I noticed you need a neck transplant, but those don't come cheap.".

I'm on to ya, Jason!
I would ask.only this Joel osteen, listen and believe

Hubby had torn rotator cuff years ago, said he'd never go thru it again. It re-tore it recently and his other shoulder is bad too. Every one has a different pain thresh hold.
I would primarily FOCUS on the Lord, His presence, prayer, asking everyone to pray for your healing and guidance. Meditate healing verses, Watch testimonies of those who have been healed to encourage and strengthen yourself. learn of natural ways to help decrees pain and speed healing. Be blessed with your Shepherd

I'm a man. We don't have nearly the pain threshold that women do. I whine like a baby when I have a cold. Just ask my wife.

Amen, sister! That will be the only way!

I'm scheduled for rotator cuff surgery on April 13th. I have two fully torn muscles and possibly a tendon. Not looking forward to this. I've had two ACL reconstructions, but the knee is a much simpler joint than the shoulder. I'll be the big 5-0 in a couple of weeks, so I'm no spring chicken, and I'm not quite ready to be put out to pasture either.

I've heard enough horror stories about this procedure to make me anxious about what I'll go through.

Has anyone had this done? If so, can you tell me about your experience. On the scale of excruciating to "I want to die excruciating", how was the pain after the anesthesia wore off and through your recovery? How long was the recovery? In the end, would you say it was a success, and were you happy you went through it?

Thanks in advance! :wave
Hi Mike, I have had two rotator cuff surgeries. (one in each shoulder) It is not that bad. The problem is having to wear an arm sling for awhile. Pain med.s work well, and you will have a few weeks of therapy. They can do laser repair now with minimal pain.

I haven't seen rotator cuff surgeries done with a laser in all my obsessive youtube searches. No way it could be done like that for mine. One of the torn muscles needs to be pulled all the way over the ball of the arm bone (that's the scientific name), and it's a long stretch. Glad yours went well!
Douglas Summers dont make it easy on him :biggrin2
Sadist!
I use a chain saw and one shot of cortisone for the pain.ah you silly American u no need pain meds, just chop off arm aND put ball joint on and put arm back o
If that's how you do your job, I wouldn't want you working on my car either. Broken tie rod? Yeah, Jason has a chain saw for that. LOL
