That historic building has tall ceilings, which quite possibly was a tin ceiling at some point. Hard wood floors.... wood trim ... I can almost see how it was originally.

I'm nor sure

No worries. I've studied a bit of architectural books over the years - came in handy with renovations and rehabs of houses and other structures - so I can have a fair idea of how the earlier structures were designed inside. Of course, I've seen where the interiors were trimmed out in styles I hadn't considered. So it's always fun to learn (if possible) how the structures looked originally.

So cool, that poster by Hef :thumbsup

Is the base at which the rec center still active? Or, is the rec center now part of the community's property?

That makes sense.the place was built in 36,it's possible it was made into a restaurant. I will post the same angle of her at present.you can make out the garage area with the bay.it's fully open. Then but not now.it's been modified alot.

There are none in my area. :shrug

It was interesting, during the time of mass transition to self-serve-only-stations, those stations that tried to remain full service charged only 5-cents more per gallon of gas. To me, that extra 5-cents was worth it. Saved me time!
