Why wouldn't they photograph you? I'm surprised they didn't make mention of that fact as part of the article.
I don't think they know.I saw the badge but I wasn't aware it was tribune media until now. I still assume it's Scripps media. My mom ,I told her about that.

That's south of the spanish home with the arabic frames.hard to believe men who trained here later on died and or won in Japan or the European theatre

There's that same thought on some of the decomissioned military bases. The knowledge that men and women who spent time on those former bases either died for us or lived on. It's a realization that can be awe-inspiring and humbling.

The historical knowledge you're gathering and sharing with others is great!

(And those activities would definitely be fun!)

The older folks or natives know this.some were there.the article Shoukd have a pic of col Tony Young. He knows that. Surprisingly they mentioned Troy Moody but not the Victory Blvd connection and why it's called that.in ww2 it was a spanish name. It was a word that began with a c.city hall has it .I will look at the map again .most of mcansch park roads are spanish names.

The older folks or natives know the history ... but the younger ones don't. That's why it's important for those who know the history to share that history with those who don't.
