I'm a Veroite through the process of reading and sight osmosis.
Lol.yet only a local would agree with Young, etc.that has been in vero for some time.yes we have locals that dont.Fletcher being one.

The other site is biased differently and likely pro sell Vero out at any cost.

Fine article!

I rather liked his comment that he knew 'too much' ! Such a charmer!
He is a realitor.much of what I have photographed he has sold or worked for the company that did.

Mclure Drugs that was I believe where the current Scotts sporting good is.

The article about him was highly complimentary. He's obviously quite knowledgeable about Vero....... being a realtor definitely would explain that!

I've always found those history time lines in the newspapers quite interesting. Places that were....people that did.... always interesting to read the changes.

The article said he was originally from Lake Forest IL, which is north/northwest of Chicago. (It's east of McHenry & Crystal Lake........ I used to have Sunday brunch at the McHenry Country Club)

It's sort of funny.......... one of my classmates married a Bob Craig, just not the one in the Vero area!

Mum about demolition of the Diesel plant. Interesting

Only because I could feel my blood-pressure raising as I started reading the article........so I moved on to the next article.
They aren't demolition the diesel plant but doing some demo of the remnants of the old air compressor room and fuel tank.the brewery will be a must for me.

I know........and I'm glad that the building won't be gone....that would be nigh on to sacrilegious!

It's just gonna take a bit of time to adjust to the building housing a brewery.............

I waa pulling your leg about the Diesel plant.why didn't the covb give these plants a name. The first super of big blue is a Damerow and the first one at the Diesel was a Thompson I believe.

Interesting the same guy who decommissioned the h.d.king plant worked on big blue.I forget one being offline.I know she needed work.still given what I hear and know I bet they later will want to have a plant.let some large brown out occur and we have rely on the ouc for power.remember that the diesel plant saved the eastern sea board.

At least the covb didn't decide to go cheeky about names, like 'Thing 1' and 'Thing 2' !

Something I would do.big blue isn't a term of endearment.I call her that as its better then city of vero municipal power plant.

When the diesel plant ran the puffs of smoke were bad. I remember when they would run her for a few hours.

Sorry there was a smoke problem with the diesel plant. With the more refinement of scrubbers today for stacks, perhaps the smoke problem could have been alleviated.
