With the tracks removed, it doesn't take long for flora to reclaim an area, unless, that is, the former rail line is now a walking/biking path..........

Aviation blvd. I may use the topos and post the county tax page to compare.i.wasn't expecting to find it.I was looking at beatyville and also for the old public works which was about due south of the Vero Man site.I noticed the trail and its sharp curve .so i looked at the topo of 81 and I confirmed it.33 Rd st crossed to our water plant and was the only way there until the aviation blvd project in 99.I could have walked the hill the rr was up to us1 as it was there .

Not really so unusual, the interest in the past. As we grow older, we tend to want to record history in a better fashion for future generations.

It's like all the former towns that existed in Illinois in the past. Several people have spent years researching & going to the sites to record in books the history and locations. It's all fascinating, especially when the authors were able to find descendants who remember the towns or recall the handed-down histories.

Yup, understandable.

Oh the pizza place that was a Texaco. I don't think I told you about the bar .it's full of wrenches, images of a bygone era.

That would make for an interesting interior.

Just as long as no one tries to grab a hammer when drunk...........

I will go out again .this was five minutes long but i edited out a bad word.

I love the idea of a brewery there! (Great company logo lettering as well)
