Route pics

imagine, if you will this was still working and churning at night. the road would be a dead end with a cul de sac, the water tower in my photos and the lighted interior with workers visible and cars out front with more palms then before.

The view at night of the building fully lit and operational ... I can only imagine how impressive that would be. At least she's being given a new lease on life, which says a lot.

the court has a photo of it. with the angle I always take. the front view of the door with an awning and an employee out front.

It will be interesting to follow the remodeling progress as it continues.

believe it or not. I had to use a .2 sec shutter speed to get that photo. if I posted in color that building will looking very yellow. artificial lighting yick

Ah, but those metal halide lights do help with visibility at night, though.

I know but while our eyes aren't bothered by that. a camera whether digital of not will not see what our God given superior eyes can see. that Is why I use black and white so much for night photos. the light is seen and appears more historical(what I want) and also doesn't loose the look of what we see. we don't have to see it as it is to get the recollection of what was or is at night.

you have seen that apartment building before.

Yes, I remember it well.

I believe I like it better in daylight than at nighttime. Some of the 'charm' just doesn't shine through at night.
it looks better at the day but the lighting from the west is what says welcome home. cant see that during the day and they are working on it. it had a termite tent over it a few days ago. I noticed the meter bank is full 6 units and one house meter.i bet they are ready to rent.

Oh, my. If it had a termite tent over it, then there was the potential of a serious infestation going on. Or at least it had a problem. With the tent, now they don't have a problem. Yea!

Considering all the remodeling, I'd agree that they're getting ready to rent out the units. That would be very good.... the building really does need people living there who will take care of her.

On that note the edgewood art district has been moving along.hanging art murals,a few home studios.old apartments such as this restored.this particular one is a wood frame stucco and likely had carpenter ants and needed the tent or termites.

Oh, nasty. Carpenter ants can sometimes be worse than termites.

You might ask him once of these days. He might surprise you by selling you one.
