Watch the video.it's similiar to what they had in the old diesel plant. Notice the building interior it's similar too
I was talking to American icon brewery and that it was another called the turbine. That was fascinating! Thanks!
I have an old photo of the plant to post ,it's an old vero image of 1935 but no later then 1950.That was fascinating! Thanks!
Historical photos from the citrus museum.the one on the wall is at McDonald's and that one has alot.I use it to reference old names.I have used it for verification. Old church photos, etc.Great old pictures! Thank heaven that someone knew it would be important to hang on to the old photos!
I found at least five still standing references.the theatre, the old farmers bank, the diesel plant.the original gas station now a car wash.one home.ironside press, then the vero press journal. The old maps & aerial photos of older Vero are great, too!
Which stand.I see the original city hall.,loaches garage.the ice house west of the power plant. That's what's so cool about the old maps & aerial photos...finding the old landmarks
Just by the old plant I noticed a few changes.the water tower was way bigger when I was a kid and also the plant has more turbines later on.homes gone .packing houses in city limits is just not something most will know. In the image there's three. It's great the old landmarks can still be found & identified. Far too many cities, towns have torn down the old to make room for the new
Big blue has had a few.I spot those and can date some of them.you didn't see the stacks?Well, changes do occur as demand/location needs change....
I was right the diesel plant did indeed have an awning. Here whilst I post the photos and story going back to the early 20s.the arial based in the source is no earlier then My date but since I can make out another marker the arial is a ww2 era.the drive in park isn't there.I saw the stacks ... the saw the aerial and got involved with the aerial.......
