Asimov - (Does this mean 'wiseacre' in some Eastern European tongue, or something more homonymous...?).

I was asking the question under the baffling umbrella term of my own invention: "Contiguous Biological Progression", under which Evolution (which I don't have any particular issue with) would be categorized.

Being a flat-earth flat-head, I am unaware of the protocell research, and would be delighted to educate myself (to the extent possible) if you might direct me to some handy web or bibliographical references.

Merry Christmas!

I'm not planning on returning to this topic. But with respect to the following verse:

"Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;" Matthew 4:8

The word translated 'all' in this verse is the Greek word pas. Which, when used collectively as in "all nations" means 'some of all types', not all types literally, but it is refering to degrees of diversity. Therefore when we read the above verse, we understand that the Greek is not saying literally all kingdoms of the earth, but some kingdoms with varying degrees of diversity.

I don't know much about Eastern European slang.

I'm glad you have no issue with evolution. What else would fall under CBP?
