It seems you are talking about something different than the subject of this thread.
It sounds like you are conflating sheep with the tares, of the parable of the wheat and tares.
I’m referring to sheep that belong to Jesus, Christians, brothers in Christ, who become lost.
The prodigal son is an example.
He became lost, but returned to the Father and was reconciled, in which he became “found”.
He was spiritually dead, then became alive again.
It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’”
Luke 15:32
- for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.
Lost = Sinner who is need of repentance; spiritually dead to God, in need of salvation, reconciliation to God.
Found = Someone who is reconciled to God; saved. Spiritually alive.
4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found
it, he lays
it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together
his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ 7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Luke 15:4-7
