Should Christians Fight In Wars ?

Paul's point in Romans 13 is that even that governments are there by God's decree. But, and you keep avoiding this, we know that God uses even evil power for his purposes. We know this not least from Romans 9 where Paul writes that Pharaoh was "raised up" so that God would be glorified.

But that is hardly a reason to join Pharaoh in abusing the Hebrew slaves. Even though it would be nice if Scripture gave us a "rule-book" that covers every situation, it clearly does not. Romans 13 certainly is not a mandate to obey governments no matter what they are asking you to do. It is Paul's brief treatment about how God prefers corrupt fallen governments over total anarchy.

agian what if said christian ran the govt and had to stop evil and war was the only option.

if that isnt the case i wouldnt be born most likely nor would many others and the people of kosovo. bosnia would still be fighting

of course certian govts are unjust and civil disobediance is the remedy for that, but voting?

you do realise that voting is madatory in some countries, ie australia.

i would prefer to be lead by christians not pagans.

your choice, here in america once it wasnt a shame for a candidate to call on christ and live on those values

you claimed obama was the best president we could have in a long time. yet his first actions were to sign a "death warrant"for the unborn via that mexico city policy.

far more killed that way via stealth then any war could ever do.

more americans dead since 1973 via abortion then all wars in our history

the shreak of a new born frightens them "peace loving" democrats vs that allah eckhbar shouting muslim nut case with that rpg in hand.

....you don't have a government...you have a criminal cartel that carries out the demands of a global banking elite.

It is better to die than to kill. Why?
1. love your enemies, do good for them, pray for them
2. one dare not kill a Christian in an opposing army
3. one dare not kill a non-Christian

A young Christian girl said she wanted to be a marine and fight in Afghanistan.
So I asked her, "So will you kill them before you convert them or convert them before you kill them?" She looked puzzled.

The physical things of earth are patterned after the spiritual things of heaven.

Examples:

Spiritual adultery - a bad thing.
Physical adultery - a bad thing.

Spiritual circumcision - a good thing.
Physical circumcision - a good thing.



So,
Spiritual war - a good thing.
Physical war ......

because the parties involved have beat this to death.and the responder was in afghanistan and heard of muslim conversions as we had christians who witness in secret to them.

I'll reply with the biblical story of Abraham saving his nephew Lot from the armies that carried him off captive.
Abraham went after those armies and killed them without waiting to "convert" them.
And immediately afterward, Melchizedek blessed Abraham.

If someone was going to do this to your child with a machete, would you strike him down before he reached your child.
There has been a time in my life had i had the opportunity and God gave me the strength, i would have struck down a thousand men, doing this, Rwanda.

When evil is on the move we have to be on the move also, and meet it head on, into the fire.

one time Gods people rebuilt a city, a trowel in one hand a sword in the other.

Jesus tolled his disciples go but a sword.

Had you been in the church in Iraq would you have returned fire to save those about to be slaughtered. if it was your wife and family friends in the firing line, go buy a sword. johnny

Self defence has got nothing to do with travelling halfway round the world to drop bombs on kids in their beds on the strength of faulty intelligence and for the sole benefit of the banking elite.

God knows the heart in any given situation.
 
I agree many wars have been fought for the wrong reasons, and inocent people caught in the cross fire, their lives shattered.
All about the money, war is big business, as is reconstruction,those involved behind the scene, often funding both sides of a conflict,, then raking in their winnings. like some now who face, financial ruin, or the fortunes of war, seen as their get out of jail card.

Oil has also played a factor.

there are always those like now ,who want their war, and will start one if they can.
oh i forgot they do not exsist

America great depression, emerged 1945 as the richest planet on the earth. gets rid of your unemployed, over 200.000.000 at present, your pension crisis, war as a solution, to many people not enough resourses, failing this release a few viruses, maybe, ?
Chemicals in food, floride in water. chemical spray the air, to keep the numbers down.

War can also come as judgement, the second seal, the rider on the red horse, given a sword to take peace from the earth. johnny.
