Should we interpret the Bible as literal?

I find often with me im better at talking about proper doctrine then living it out. to tie this into what jesus said about this. the word for abolish the law isn't the idea of removing it but to correctly teach it and do it. jesus said im not negating it by what im teaching but doing it. im fulfilling what its about. we by our actions and words can change the bible and how its viewed and read.

you haven't listened to much end times preaching that is passed as it shall be this way. some times the bible isn't clear. does the bible say much on the time and when jesus will come back? nope, yet so many Christians read and support modern prophets that have no clue.

I may not agree with your end times position but its as mine is, speculation based on some type of scriptural view. both cant be right. we wont know until Jesus returns.

The Bible does not give us a date of when Jesus will come back and the Bible tells us we are not to do that.But we might know the season from Scripture.But then this is getting into an End-times discussion and this is not the End-Times forum.

have you ever honestly pondered what genesis one implies if taken literally and try to grasp that? I have and I don't understand how god did it. I take it literally but lets see..

and god separated the upper waters from the lower waters.

or the word firmament is used. its not like that give us much.

Your salvation is complete in knowing John 3:16 and asking Jesus Christ into your life.All of Scripture is important.Not that we will have a test and if you do not get a 85% and above you will not be admitted into heaven.If all of Scripture was not important God would not have written it for us to read.

I read the word.If it does not make sense to me literally I study it with many Bible Study resources that I trust.What do you mean by "I'm not sure you've been following many threads here?".I comment on some theads and I seem to be odd man out.I am sometimes harrassed for that.

Every thread has different perspectives presented about the scriptures. You're not the odd one out unless you think everyone else here agrees with eachother :D

then you wouldn't be told YOU cant teach that position as I have by a man. though he couldn't if I postulated my arguments from scripture easily refute me. my leaderships knows im a preterist. I don't try to undermine then but I cringe when I hear the men say what they say.
