its not that way. ok. I will say this way. why is it that Christians have a high rate of divorce despite being saved and may come from a divorced parent home? its because they learned some bad habits and never dealt with them. that is what a generation curse it. this also works in reverse. act 16;31. sirs what I must do be saved. believe and be baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus and the and thy household shall be saved. notice that it doesn't say his family is there to be baptized as well he had to go get them and take them to a lake to be baptized or likely the church did that. but since they weren't there to make a choice it means he being saved would be the one to lead them by his life to the cross. it doesn't mean they would but that it makes it more likely that they would be saved. In some Churches today they try to blame every sin and problem on some sort of generational curse.God's warning on future generations is part of the OT law.The answer for today if anyone worries about generational curses is savation through Jesus Christ. How can a child of God still be under God's curse? Romans 8:1.
theres more to just being set free from drugs then just being set free from the addiction there the driver for that and the codependent tendency which comes from somewhere. we aren't redeemed at all once. we are slowly redeemed in the common form of sanctification. notice the word says renew our minds not its renewed at the cross and we don't have to learn new behaviours?
