Should we interpret the Bible as literal?

In some Churches today they try to blame every sin and problem on some sort of generational curse.God's warning on future generations is part of the OT law.The answer for today if anyone worries about generational curses is savation through Jesus Christ. How can a child of God still be under God's curse? Romans 8:1.
its not that way. ok. I will say this way. why is it that Christians have a high rate of divorce despite being saved and may come from a divorced parent home? its because they learned some bad habits and never dealt with them. that is what a generation curse it. this also works in reverse. act 16;31. sirs what I must do be saved. believe and be baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus and the and thy household shall be saved. notice that it doesn't say his family is there to be baptized as well he had to go get them and take them to a lake to be baptized or likely the church did that. but since they weren't there to make a choice it means he being saved would be the one to lead them by his life to the cross. it doesn't mean they would but that it makes it more likely that they would be saved.

theres more to just being set free from drugs then just being set free from the addiction there the driver for that and the codependent tendency which comes from somewhere. we aren't redeemed at all once. we are slowly redeemed in the common form of sanctification. notice the word says renew our minds not its renewed at the cross and we don't have to learn new behaviours?

You guys are free to believe what you want to believe.I will continue to read my Bible literally whenever possible.I know I will not win a popuarity contest here but God did not put me on this Earth to win a popularity contest.....THE END.

I have been set free, trust me when I say this I hated emotions and while im not totally where I need to be, im a lot more able to open up. where I learned the habit of bottling it all idk. but im more able to speak and feel them. often we get saved and hold on to things from the past and god has to work in us to get that out. some of that is from habits taught to us a kids and have bad thought patterns which leads to generational curses. I have been hurt by a woman in a divorce and I get saved , do I fully unlearn that wall that I have built? it can be sometimes its not

Understanding the Bible correctly will def not make you popular. Actually misrepresenting the Bible also will not make you popular. What does that tell you ?

that is because of the sin but theres a specific sin that only those jews were judged for. each time isreal was a judged it listed why they were judged so that when the time came they had space to repent. tis listed why isreal was scattered in matthew 23.

my dad didn't kill isiah, abel, nor zecharias. the Pharisees brought the blood of them upon themselves, they claimed that they wouldn't do that and jesus said because ye will kill me and also will kill the scribes and prophets sent to them to die by the lord they had the blood of the saints. that is why I see revalation 17 as past.

And they didn't just deny Him as the Savior, they denied He was their King. Look what they said, I know you know this Jason, I'm just using your post as a launching pad..
.
Joh 19:14 and it was the preparation of the passover, and as it were the sixth hour, and he saith to the Jews, `Lo, your king!'
Joh 19:15 and they cried out, `Take away, take away, crucify him;' Pilate saith to them, `Your king shall I crucify?' the chief priests answered, `We have no king except Caesar.'

These chief priests represented the whole nation of Israel much the same as the leaders of any nation today.
By doing these things they sealed the future of the nation of Israel. Just as leaders today can lead their nations into war and defeat or peace. The King, the Messiah took His place, His victory was won on the cross and the resurrection.
They also said this,

Mat 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
Mat 27:25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
Mat 27:26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Luk_21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Mat 21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
Mat 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
Mat 21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
Mat 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
Mat 21:37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
Mat 21:38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
Mat 21:39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.
Mat 21:40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
Mat 21:41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
Mat 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Mat 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Here is a parable, written in allegoric style, that was to be taken literally by those it was spoken to.
