Not sure how the whole obsession with needing to use lots of make-up and stuff got started.

I don't think it's a bad thing--just something I'm not really into myself. You can take it too far, though. And beauty magazines tend to be detrimental rather than helpful. People don't need to conform to some standard of beauty set by some magazine. (Not to say hygiene isn't important.)

I was told it was for old women. Old women applied it to look better. Our young ones adopted it
