[__ Prayer __] Sleep Breathing

Something is going on with my breathing when I sleep. I woke up twice with vivid dreams of gasping for breath. I think this may be related to inflammation of my mouth and jaw, possibly also painful bloating/gas may be coming up in my throat further irritating/inflaming it. My jaw gets numb when I talk for more than a little while. Please pray for good breathing while I sleep, healthy jaws, and good digestion.

Thank you, and may the Lord bless everyone who prays for my good health.

Thank you for caring everyone. May the Lord bless you.

I don't know what human doctor to go to for jaw inflammation Tessa. I had similar jaw inflammation a few years ago, and basically the docs just waited for it to go away on its own (6 months). I had a weird eye inflammation in the spring that caused a thingy in my eye. (Eye doc said pigment clumped in a spot, probably due to inflammation or infection. Whatever that means.) Weird inflammations seemed to be rotating to different parts of my body. Docs had no idea what to do. They suggested ibuprofen, but my liver didn't like that. They suggested simethicone for gas, but it has limited effectiveness. The Lord is my only hope for inflammation and gas.

not to push my 'alternative health' stuff on you (or anyone...), but maybe try a supplement or two? I favor Orthomolecular, which is just high doses of -commonly available- vitamins (B, C, E, etc.) at high doses, combined with whatever treatment(s) are prescribed for the condition.

I took astaxanthin for a while. Its...a carotenoid, its made from algae commercially, and its the same substance that makes pink flamingos pink and gives salmon its hue. true story. anyway, it also functions as a potent antioxidant and seems to have anti-inflammatory properties (true of many antioxidants). I took the 12mgs/capsule daily, with a meal containing a good bit of fat (fat soluble...absorption...), and it seemed to "top off" my protocol, back then. if I recall correctly, there's some --limited data-- suggesting helpful effects in joint pain and inflammation and also typical antioxidant stuff...cholesterol levels, skin health, energy levels, etc.

some people swear by curcumin, tumeric. alpha lipoic acid is generally inexpensive(ish), and it is an antioxidant in its own right (commonly found in organ meat, maybe?), and it also regenerates C, E, and coenzyme Q-10. When I can remember and I'm not already in vitamin-overload mode, I take 1200mgs/daily.

random suggestions, just that...suggestions. One reason I stick with Orthomolecular is because of the relatively minimal drug-supplement interactions, vs what one might find with herbal supplements, but...that's me, your mileage may vary, as they say...

still praying. :)

Hi Tessa, thank you for asking. I seem to be breathing okay as long as I sleep on my sides, and avoid sleeping on my back. The inflammation of my jaw is still there. Pops when I open my jaw, and gets numb if I talk more than a bit. Plus I think something may be going on with one of my teeth but I'm not sure if it is causing a situation that I need to rush to a dentist to check it out during plague for it or not. The gas/bloating seems to improve if I abstain from eating for 20 or so hours per day. Just eating a bit in a 4 hour period. It is not a constant gas/bloating pain, but can get quite intense at times. Moving from my chest to stomach to side over time.

Several things seemed to attack me at once a few weeks ago, which makes me suspect some sort of spiritual involvement. Fighting all of this stuff at once is wearing me out.

Sorry it's causing you such trouble Michael. I think Couppy has a good point there . Are you on any new meds or eating something you don't usually?

I get them in hands and feet mainly. I use ice, massage and stretching which seems to help a little.

Sometimes my hands are stiff when I get up. They gradually loosen up with movement. In the spring my neck was so stiff I couldn't turn my head properly for months, and tingles were going on in my arms. Then a thingy appeared in my eye. The eye doc said either inflammation or infection caused pigment to clump in one spot. I went to a rheumatologist. He did tests which came back normal. He told me he didn't know how to solve it. Red patches appeared on my face in spots, and the dermatologist gave me lotion for it. I don't know if my digestive issues are inflammation, or something else like I need additional digestive enzymes to be manufactured by my body.

For some reason my immune system seems to by hyper active, and maybe sometimes attacks me (or food?) instead of the enemy. I think that's what the weird inflammations are about, but I don't fully understand it. The weird inflammations started a few years ago when I had cellulitis. I want my body to work right again. Be healthy. Anyway, I am believing the Lord for perfect health.

not to push 'alternative' stuff on you (again), but Orthomolecular has really helped me, in conjunction with 'standard treatment' (read: psych drug+ vitamins=recovery). in your case, it sounds like the standard medical approach is not meeting your needs, anyway, so...maybe just take a look at this, and then see if it seems like it might help you? then maybe a doctor will prescribe a standard treatment, in addition. i dunno, just trying to be helpful.

my go to website is www.doctoryourself.com

the info is free, they link to books here and there that might require some monie$, no big shakes. hope this helps. :)
