$7 jeans, $4 tops, $9 sweaters.

I made out like a bandit!!

I am the epitome of a savvy shopper and I only had to stay up all night and show up at the mall at 3 am. Penny's also gave me a free gift.

Yay me :D

Thank you Jehovah Jireh!!!!

Great! With all that money saved you can afford to buy us all some Pepsi's. ;) All we did this Black Friday is buy some cloth diapers online for our son. Ian may still be 4 months from making his grand arrival, but it was a deal we couldn't pass up.

I love babiesssssss!!!!! Baby Ian just high jacked my thread!!! Yay, so you have announced the name!! I have been meaning to check back in with Caroline about that.

Awwwwwwwwwww. You just made my day so much better then it already was. (Therefore I will pretend I didn't see your little Pepsi comment :nono :rollingpin)

We announced the name about a month ago. I wasn't using Ian to thread-jack, but he was the center of our Black Friday shoping. That and the 1L Pepsi I bought to spit with Caroline when we ate our share of the Thanksgiving left overs.

What is this "Pepsi" you keep referring to? Is it the city you lived in, in the old country?

I completely missed the "introducing Baby Ian" thread (or my memory isn't what it used to be) I'm glad he made an appearance in this thread :D

*said in a godfather voice* Well as a crazy baby lover I cannot allow you to leave this thread until I bless your family and your baby, capiche?

Baby Ian, may the Lord bless you as you grow. May He protect you and assign His angels to protect you, all the days of your life. May you know His lovingkindness every day of your life. May he bless your parents as they raise you in the love and wisdom of the Lord. Lord guide this family's steps that they may glorify you with ever step and every breath. Baby Ian, in the name of the Almighty Lord, Jesus the King of kings, I bless you in love, peace, and the joy of the Lord. Amen.

Yay, I love blessing people and I love babies. I love it more when I get to mix the two together.

But now I want a baby :verysad

Hey, since I'm not within the Holy requirements of obtaining one and you are, can I have yours?

I wonder how many people were trampled and or killed during this year's brute friday.

I'm sure we'll be hearing about it very soon. I made sure to stay away from all stores selling discounted electronics. A $50 "plasma/HD/can predict the future and do your dishes" TV is not worth some of the things people do to get it :nono2

I worked thanks giving night, all through the black Friday sale, came home and slept for a grand total of 4 hrs, then had to go back in and work another 8 hrs yesterday. Let me tell you something, this sales day is evil. I worked the majority of the sale (8pm Thurs till 8 am Friday, then had to return same day and work from 4pm and finally got off at 1 am this morning, 21 hours spent in store) which started at midnight Friday Morning and ended at midnight Saturday (today) Morning. We have another sale starting at 6 am today as well.

I'm exhausted. Because of how screwed up my sleep pattern is, I've only been able to take naps. I'm sore and had to fight crowds and almost got mauled by customers when trying to set up for the sale. I had to help with crowd control, guard high dollar items in shifts, and run around answering question, lifting boxes, calming customers, and stocking merchandise.

I love working it though, I could just do without all the bursts of rude customers, and my boss who has a power trip yet has no idea what the heck she is doing. I got yelled and almost fired on the spot because I was telling customers that we had toy story 3 on sale for 10 dollars. My Boss didn't even read our add and tried to tare me down in front of customers and it took me having to shove a flier WE GAVE OUT AS CUSTOMERS ENTERED THE STUPID STORE ALL WEEK in her face, to get her off my back. Yet I never received an apology.

I'm dead, but managed to get Unforgiven and the fellow ship of the ring on my break for 2 dollars, a Crock pot and mini veggie chopper for 3 bucks each, and a set of head phones for 5 bucks. So I managed to get some deals.

:)

black friday is of the devil. i was out and about throwing papers and nearly was run of the road!
lovely christmas shoppers at 0445 am in the morning.

today was much better none one that same road.

Every Thanksgiving, we make the trek out to my parents house and see the people along the way in line at Best Buy and other stores with tents. They camp out over 24 hours in advance! :shocked! In Michigan, that means putting up with some pretty cold weather! So, they skip out on a wonderful tradition meant to give thanks for all of our blessings for what? Save a few bucks? Camp out in a tent for almost 2 days on the cement sidewalk to save a few bucks? These people have more than a few loose screws. :screwloose

Black Friday shoping is so much safer online. not as many deals, but you don't take your life in your hands to get cheap electronics that WILL break before you are ready to buy a new one.
