Some of the best NT verses threatening loss of salvation

Would you care to see a page full of NT verses
which teaches endurance to the end is necessary
for one to finally receive eternal life?

Your welcome to post them, although I have taught many times about enduring, and believing to end, myself.

No one cares for the "Thank You" song in post #13.
Hmmmmm.
Methunks, something's wrong with this picture.

I shared among people. They liked it.

Hopefully your not one who needs positive reinforcement for proclaiming the truth the Bible teaches.

You probably won’t last too long if you do.

Knowing that the Lord is pleased that we have proclaimed the truth, and that we ourselves are walking in the truth we are delivering, is more than we deserve.

Just sayin...

No quarrel with that.
But who is it that keeps us in his hand and from who's hand noone can take us?

Those who hear, and obey what they hear so that they follow Him, are those who are not snatched out of His hand.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. John 10:27-28

Those who hear His voice but wander away from Him become lost.

Those who hear His voice but wander away from Him become lost.
Those who promote "easy grace", "grace only", etc. do not
believe that BACs have any accountability before God.
IMO, they are gravely mistaken when they say
they hear Jesus' voice and follow Him!
Jesus does not know (approve of, W. E. Vine) them.

I’ll share with you what I have come to believe and understand about John 10:27-28

Hear in this verse means to hearken, listen for with the intent of obeying what is heard.

Those who listen and obediently respond to His voice are those who follow Him where He leads, and are therefore He knows them.

Where does He lead?

He leads us in the paths of righteousness.

He leads us along the narrow and difficult road that leads to life;
Eternal Life.

Those who hear His voice but do not respond in obedience, will ultimately end becoming lost.

There is a difference between wandering into a bypath and in joining another flock.

It doesn’t matter where someone wanders to, if they wander away from Him, they are lost.

Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20

We’re not saved yet …
for salvation is a process “with fear and trembling” (Phil 2:12).

Warnings about losing eternal life
••• Mark 9:43 “If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off.
It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall
never be quenched”
••• Luke 9:23-25 “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it (eternal life), but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost (eternally)?”
••• John 12:25 “He who loves his life will lose it (eternal life), and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” Also Matt 16:25-26, Mark 8:35-37

Warnings about gaining eternal death
••• Romans 6:16-23 “… you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether (slaves) of sin leading to (eternal) death, or (slaves) of obedience leading to righteousness … For when you were slaves of sin … the end of those things is (eternal) death. … For the wages of sin is (eternal) death …”
••• Romans 8:13-14 “For if you live according to the flesh you will die (spiritually); but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live (eternal life). For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
••• Galatians 6:7-8 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”
••• 1 Timothy 6:9-10 “But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into may foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil … Let them (rich Christians) do good, that they may be rich in good works … that they may lay hold on eternal life.”
••• Hebrews 10:36-39 “ ‘Now the just shall live by faith; but IF anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.’ But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.”
••• James 1:12-16 “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of (eternal) life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him … But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth (eternal) death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.”
••• Revelation 2:11 “He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.

Who is an overcomer? >> “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (Revelation 3:21)
••• Revelation 21:7-8 “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Jesus is talking about anyone who is a habitual (unrepentant) sinner!

Warnings about being shut out of heaven
Mark 9:47 with Matthew 25:34-46 prove the kingdom of God is analogous to heaven.
••• 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”
Gal. 5:19-21 and Eph. 5:3-6 are other “sin lists” about keeping people out of heaven.

Warnings about being shut out of the New Jerusalem
••• Revelation 22:14-15 “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates of the city. But outside are the dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.”

Warnings in 3 of the many conditional “IF” verses
••• 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel … by which you are saved, IF you hold fast that word which I preached to you - unless you believed in vain.”
••• 2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourself to see IF you are in the faith, unless you are disqualified.”
••• Hebrews 3:14 “For we have become partakers of Christ, IF we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.” Also see Heb.10:39 above.

Those who belong to Jesus were drawn to Him by Father God (John 6:44).
But, if they fail to remain in Jesus and produce fruit, they will be destroyed!

••• John 15:1-10 “I am the true grapevine, and My Father is the gardener. He (Father God) cuts off every branch of Mine (Jesus) that doesn’t produce fruit, … Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. … Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. … Remain in My love. When you obey My commandments, you remain in My love, just as I obey My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.”

4 times in John 14, Jesus says,
“Those who love Me will obey My commandments.”

Why would Jesus say you have to be born again? I think it's because believers can fall away. So a man can fall away. On the other hand, if a man is born again, he is not just a believer, he is a believer who has been saved by God himself. If God saves a man, he is indeed saved, and no one can snatch him from the hand of God.

So there's the presumption that a man can be saved and not saved. But this is illogical. You can't be both.

You have to be born again (from above) to have a chance
to be an overcomer, i.e. overcome your sins.
This is why the Word came from heaven:
to produce a company of believers who would be acceptable
to Father God to live with Him forever in heaven.
Jesus made BACs FREE ... to be victorious over sin and Satan.

The basic gospel, i.e. John 3:16, etc. is God's net to capture the little fishes, who begin as baby Christians, and as such
are not to be disheartened by threats of losing salvation.

Yes. only man himself can snatch himself out of God's hand
via his own free will; no one else may do this.

Salvation is a life-long process ...
Many NT verses state that one must ENDURE in the faith
until the end of life to end up receiving eternal life.

I'm proposing that God knows what he is doing when he makes men. So if he makes men for salvation, they will be saved.

I hold, 'You have been saved' Eph. 2:5 'You are saved' 1 Cor. 15:2 and 'to us who are being saved' 1 Cor. 1:18 as well as 'will be saved'.

So I hold salvation is a promise which depends on faith. So I believe we are being saved because we are continually being washed by the word of God, and we are being upheld by him as the Palmist says,
Psalm 63:8
My soul clings to thee; thy right hand upholds me.
Psalm 119:116
Uphold me according to thy promise, that I may live, and let me not be put to shame in my hope!

I agree we have to endure, but that doesn't mean we will fall.

Did you mean to write fall or fail?

I am called to present the many dire warnings in the NT.
Are they bluffs, exaggerations, lies even?
Are they to keep God's elect on the straight and narrow?

God's prophets/watchmen have been told to warn the church
about the same dire warnings as in the NT.

BTW, what do think of this? ...
The Bible is really only for God's people, not for the unsaved.

Who ever got saved by reading the word? ... Not many!
Think a Muslim understands the NT? ... No way!
Spiritual Truth only comes via spiritual revelation from God.

Not sure what your point is. The warnings/words Jesus gave us are meant to keep us from falling, to keep us from harm.

Jesus gave us instructions - to overcome the evil one. Do you know we are engaged in a spiritual battle? Where is your faith? If God is for us, who is against us? Who is there to condemn us? Ro. 8:34
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Jesus' words are meant to enlighten us - what to do, what not to do, what to watch for. We are already saved when we hear his voice and believe. Then the man becomes a repository of wisdom, knowledge and understanding, a temple. God isn't going to destroy/condemn his own temple.

Jesus said seek and you will find. Find what? Find the knowledge of God.

Keep in mind what the Proverb says,

Proverbs 2 Revised Standard Version (RSV)
2 My son, if you receive my words
and treasure up my commandments with you,
2 making your ear attentive to wisdom
and inclining your heart to understanding;
3 yes, if you cry out for insight
and raise your voice for understanding,
4 if you seek it like silver
and search for it as for hidden treasures;
5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7 he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
8 guarding the paths of justice
and preserving the way of his saints.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path;
10 for wisdom will come into your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

What does it say? Receive his words. Incline your heart to understanding. Then wisdom will come into your heart. Jesus is our wisdom. We are his temple. If our eye is sound, (to see is to understand) our whole body is full of light. Mt. 6:22

Of course we keep the commandments he gave us.

I think the problem is people are still obsessed with sin when sin has no power over us. That's not to say we should sin because sin has lost it's sting or that we never sin. But we have been set free from sin. And we certainly do not promote sin. On the contrary, we have become slaves of righteousness.

And if our sinful body should cause us to sin, we have an advocate in Christ Jesus and he will intercede for us, now and forever.

You have worked out a very nice and cute doctrine for yourself.
But, you are ignoring the many dire warnings in the epistles
to the churches. Jesus' warnings are for everyone.

Jesus said many will fall away - fall into unbelief, worship idols, leave the church. But as John said
1 John 2:19
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out, that it might be plain that they all are not of us.

They were not of God, never were.

Jesus said beware of false prophets. Not everyone who calls him Lord shall enter the kingdom. Many will say they did mighty works in his name. But they did not do the will of God. Then Jesus will say, "I never knew you." What does never mean? Were they ever saved? No. Did they do something to lose their salvation? No. Never means never. They were never of God. They were never born of God, never had the nature of God, never did the will of God. Mt. 7:21-23 RSV

So along comes Jones preaching the loss of salvation. So instead of preaching joy, hope, faith and love, he preaches defeat. One person's hope is for everyone including those who have fallen into unbelief. But Jones preaches loss of salvation, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
1 John 5:4
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.

1 Peter 1

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
