A lot of people may consider iconic people such as "Stonewall" Jackson and Robert E Lee as "evil" people. But after doing some research I discovered they were both HIGHLY religious people.

Did anyone else know?

He's not "religious" does he do good Christian things? Both of these generals did good Christian things. Heck even when they prosecuted Lee he said "I should pray for my enemy."

Me too, I have for my whole life, all forty plus years of of it. I'm just not into the whole pride thing any more, pride is a sin. And so is ancestor worship.

war is grey, keep in mind that our very war for independence cost a lot of lives, the indian that washington killed dont see g. washington as a hero at all. he killed and burned many a villages!

i cant find the articles for this but i do recall a special on this on tv years ago.

Robert E. Lee's Religious Views

Personally I view Lee as a Christian hero. I mean when he was taken to trial he simply said "I need to pray for my enemies" forgiving and even praying for enemies is a HARD thing to do. This isn't like someone stealing $100 or someone beating you. This is loosing an entire army and country in battle for him to say that is remarkable.

Yes contradicting to what some believe Robert E. Lee was very anti-slavery. He even prayed for an end to slavery, he simply sided with the South because of state rights and his home state sided with the South.

its funny when i did a ww2 reactimant as a german das reich troop. i got called a nazi and neo nazi. just for portraying the germans in a scene that the americans won? and that so showing them as they were?

i shut up them up with this. made them turn three shades of white and look away.

I would hope history would be kind to me, if necessary. If only the negative side of life was posted it would be very ugly.
I would dare to state it would be the same for most of us.

Way Way too often people will jump on the band wagon to find fault with others. It is so sad we are not as ready to find their qualities.

If i was to write a book titled something like "The Sins in my Life" it might sell. The same story titled "What God has done for me." most likely would not sell.
