They dredged out the pond, cut down some trees, removed weeds and planted lawn. put in a lighted fountain. Looks very nice, but I'm afraid the owls will not return; no cover for prey.
Still, the park is for people, and the community needs the space for them. It's pretty, now. And I guess, on the balance, it's a good thing.
