Still am spending time on the secular board. Today a thread about Muslim extremists is being discussed.

It always surprises me when Christians will state that Christians, Muslims and Jews worship the same God.

I've never seen Muslims or Jews make this assertion, but it always gets brought up and so many time Christians will be on board with it. I don't care about non-Christians saying it, because they are looking at it from a historical and culteral aspect. But, Christians should know better.

How can we be worshipping Jesus as God... and say that Muslims and Jews worship the same God when they reject Jesus as the Son of God?

Lol.... just got off the other board where I was being chastised for not knowing religious history in the matter.
 
Even if they do believe in the same God, there is still only one path to salvation. And there aren't 70+ virgins waiting for anyone on "paradise."
 
I use to believe it can't be the same God. Our God had a son, His name was Jesus. Both Jews and Muslims only recognize "ONE" God. That is the God of Abraham. Muslims believe they are descendants of Ishmael.

So, it is not true when we say they do not believe in the God we do. The attack is on Jesus, and that is where the devil focuses.

We also have Christian Groups that only believe in "One" God, and Jesus is not fully God but a piece of a god, or 1/3 part of a god. This removes Jesus being fully God on his own, and the Father having a real son. It is the same type of attack to remove the Son of God out of the equation, to Believe as the Jews and Muslims that there is only One. It's the Antichrist the denies the Father and the Son, or that the Father has a real son.

So, they do believe in the Same God of Abraham, but all 3 groups remove the Son. 2 remove him completely, the other makes him a piece of a god. All 3 attack Jesus being the Son of God, Fully God on his own, the king of Kings, Lord of Lords who came down for us, and was sacrificed by his father on our behalf.

The attack is on Jesus, not which God they believe in.

There's only one way to God the Father, and that is through Jesus Christ only. God the Father is the only true and living God that exists. The rest just exist in their heads.
 
Be sure we have many of these folks here on this forum, and they will condemn the believer who is washed in the Blood of Christ, but grant some fantastic way of salvation to those who reject Christ and are commanded to kill Jews and Christians.
Universal salvation is for everyone but true Christians. We longer preach the gospel that all must come to Christ to be saved, but now we have a gospel that one must not know Christ, to be saved. We no longer suffer for His Righteousness, but we look for a easy faith that itches the ears of those who reject His Righteousness.

Scripture does not tell us of "the Antichrist"


1Jn_2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

1Jn_2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1Jn_4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2Jn_1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Their God is not my God :

You have posted 2 different versions....

What version or translation do you use Urk?

There are slight differences in here 1 John 4:3

and here and every spirit <sup class="crossreference" value='(A)'></sup>that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and <sup class="crossreference" value='(B)'></sup>now is in the world already.

Well no man knows the Father but by the Son, of course they do not believe in the God we do. Now the Jews have rejected God in that they rejected His Son, they can not know the Father unless they accept the Son. One, two, three, four etc... these are just numbers and they mean nothing. If one attacks Jesus, they attack the Father for He is ONE with the Father. Before Abraham was "I AM"

the history is that the pope translated the muslim god using the same word as translating the christian God.
People thought they were the same without knowing anything about muslims.

And how much do any of us really know about muslims today?
 
The internet is full of good reliable information, including their own writtings and teachings that reject Christ in very clear terms. Even demanding the murder of Jews and christians.

The question was do the believe in the "SAME" god. Their understanding of God is not your God. It is Your God though that blesses and helps you, Your God does not help or bless them. It's a matter of how the question is asked. Israel has been blessed by God, but only because of what God had promised and not because of relationship. They don't believe on Jesus, so they don't have him, but know of him.

You can believe in mailman, but only one brings things to you.

Some modern translations leave out some Greek words and base the rest on what it said on 1jn 4:2.

1Jn 4:3 But every spirit who does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist. You have heard that he is coming, and now he is already in the world.

and no, I don't believe in one God who has multiple personality disorders. He manifest himself how? Why two thrones? Where is the Holy Spirits throne? Why don't the Holy Spirit speak on his own? I could fill this page. Jesus is not a piece of a god, but has Always been with the Father, making two. The Holy Spirit, God has always taken ownership of as my Spirit. I refuse to ignore hundreds to prove a few. It works in church, but not for someone that will not tolerate many contradictions and explanations that make no sense.

Muslims (arabs) come from Ishmael.
Jesus comes from Isaac.
Muslims believe the Jews changed the Bible, that Ishmael is really the son of inheritance, not Isaac.
Therefore Jesus cannot be the Messiah.
