spanish verse of the day

I will be reading/learning more spanish and i will use the spanish niv to do it. I will post both english and spanish verses. english will be kjv. Feel free to read along and learn el espanol. Todo Preguntas? Any questions?

Genesis 1:1IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH.

GENESIS 1:1 DIOS, EN EL PRINCIPIO,CREO LOS CIELOS Y LA TIERRA.

HMM that word for creo is conjugated for I as yo. I god created, interesting.

Never seen it looked it at the way.
 
Jason, that conjugation is not in the I (yo) form, although it looks that way. When talking about a passed event that is complete, you put the "o" on the end of the verb if it is something done by someone else. Let me know if I can help with your learning, I would be glad to :) :thumb just asked i was thinking that, i have forgotten that conjugation.
 
i know to go over that tense as well, been yrs. Oh well one way to learn spanish and do devotianals as well.
 
sorry i was distracted by the dog wanted to go outside and relieve itself, and feliz natao. That's not spanish but portuguese for merry christmas.

Jason, maybe this is a dumb question but wouldn't it be alot easier for everyone to learn if you used the same translation for both english and spanish? NIV to NIV or KJV to KJV? Just wondering :)

Well Westtexas, the problem with that is there aren't direct translations corresponding to our English translations. To translate into Spanish it has to make sense linguistically, not just literally. There are numerous Spanish translations that have been translated from the Hebrew and Greek, just as there are English translations. A better way to learn by reading is to buy a novel in both languages... that was suggested by one of my Spanish professors :thumb

1:2 La tierra era un caos total, las tinieblas cubrian el abismo, y el Espiriu de Dios iba y venia sobre la superficie de las aguas.

Genesis 1:2
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

help they are some words in the spanish version that i dont know or remember.
 
Genesis 1:3 Y dijo Dios: Que exista La Luz! Y la luz llego a existir

Genesis 1:3 And God said let there be light and there was light.
 
Genesis 1:4

Dios considero que la uz era buena y la separo de las tinieblas.

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
 
Genesis 1: 5

A la luz la llamao <<dia>>,
y a las tinieblas,<<noche>>

Y Vino la noche, y llego la manana: ese fue el primer dia.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
 
Genesis 1:6

Genesis 1:9 Y dijo Dios: << Que las aguas debajo del cielo se reunan en un solo lugar, y que aparezca lo seco!>>
Y asi sucedio.

And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear, and it was so.
 
Genesis 1:10
A lo seco Dios lo llamo<<tierra>>, y al conjunto de auguas lo llamo << mar>>. Y Dios considero que esto era buena.

And God called the dry land Earth;and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas; and God saw that it was good.
