Ok no help? kdaj9out4qc mfdj0er dmfk'qpfghna'[pcd;ajfdarp[sld;flkafl;l;al;sdkfireivng'pskvafd;jg fdsidoori i needd hkelp :yes

:lol I meant to get back to you on this.

You don't see red squiggly lines under your misspelled words? When my kids give me homework to proofread on the pc, I often ask them, "Do you know what those lines mean?" (rhetorical) "You don't see them?" (rhetorical) :lol

Assuming you don't have spell check already covering you, what browser are you using? Explorer? Firefox? :confused

I'll never admit this to my kids, but I often have to bail out of certain words and use others, because I've become so dependent on spell check. :gah

internet explore ....:)

Spell check and using the computer has improved my spelling! i can screw up spell checks

Dont worry bout it everyone who has perfect paragraphs is either gifted with prose or lots of time. i dont have time or desire so i post with spilling mistooks included.

I don't know how to do it in Internet Explorer, but in Firefox you can...

Click on the Tools menu
Click on Preferences
Select Advanced
Select the General tab
Select Check my spelling as I type

Although it would take a bit more time, there is also another way of doing it. Once you have finished typing in your post, copy and paste it into your favorite word processor, such as Word or Open Office and use the spell checker there. When your spelling has been corrected, copy and paste it back into the browser and post it.

I thought we were giving helpful advice. If it hasn't helped, tell us where you need specific help. Firefox is great! It passed up IE in Europe and is predicted to pass it up in the U.S. within a year. It also has AdBlock Plus to get rid of those annoying ads on this site!

lol yout too much

I take it you do not recomend the spell check you guys have on this site? I clicked on the ABC button wiht the check on it ....tried to download it and got a salespitch from sometihng blue. never mind i will just take what ever to word. and copy /paste :yes

Stepping out side much of anything in computers is very scary....Days past i could change the oil and set the plugs NOT any more....

So i copied the above took it to 'word' and this is what i got in a neat little quote box

Microsoft word

word cannot find the spelling file MSSpell.dll or mss232.dll for. lol

dont you mean the set the points when you did a tune up.?
points and condensors.

still used in some engines, not cars that arent antiques.

Nope! i would turn the key to set the lobe though ... I have put the emery board to the points more than once to clean em up but never really set them. Way back a million years ago we set the gap on the plugs. DH spent a few hours in jail becasue we had forgot to get the fixet ticket for the glass packs signed off...ahhh the good ol days...

Neighbour kid came down one day looking for a funnel he is greasy, hands are real dirty so i aksed what for? He need it to put oil in his car. A funnel? Tony thought he was so KOOL something ain't right.... so we go to his place he is trying to put the oil down the dipstick ... I was kind never made a joke or laughed at him never even told tell now....

BUT i still cant spell.

to set the lobe? as in cam shaft? to measure lobe lift

and uh you gap them plugs. i do and most mechanics do

my truck needs a tune up. i dont ever let them go past 50k as they tend to freeze in the head and or foul out

i have gap specs for my truck , both the ranger and the frontier

the frontier still has a distrubutor with instead of points and condensors its a pickup coil and a module that sets the timing automatically.

Guess lobe aint the right word... just clicking the key to get things in the right spot in the distrubitor.

Sheesh i have helpped take a couple engins apart but never had the strength or smarts to put it back, I can hm not now i could remove and replace. simple things like a starter just the simple stuff.... That is waht happens when your poor and brake about every toy/bicycle you get. ya got to fix em

oh, that is simply called bump the engine over, i do that for greasing pto shafts on heavy equipment when i cant get to the u joint easily.

After having a 1971 gmc stright 6 then a 1988 ford pickup we lifted the hood and bought the extended warrinty. nope no more too much fancy stuff..

cars dont have power take offs(pto's) those are for hydrualic pumps.

ah, chicken.

i know the feeling.

the hybrids are something that i need to train up on as those batteries kill.

they run in the 70 volt range, and i have not a clue on amperage for that big boy(only a crane or hoist will remove that bad boy)

Reba, apparently this topic has changed. You're not on line now, but if we find ourselves on at the same time, PM me, and I can walk you through a few things. I think you'd love Firefox. If I didn't have spell check, you probably wouldn't be able to make out what I was saying. :lol
