I hope I can explain this in a way that will get my idea across easily. In scripture...many times when Jesus walked into an area, or got off the boat, or walked into the synagogue or what have you...the evil in the area would manifest itself. he got off the boat, a possessed man (or was it two?) ran up to Jesus and began worshipping Him. When He walked into the synagogue, likewise, the Scribes & Pharisees would (seemingly) almost immediately attack him (with words) (Jesus called them (many times) servants of the devil, He knew this, He was not wrong for he spoke the truth, no facetiousness when He said these things.) So the evil would manifest itself in the presence of the Lord. I do not believe that this was any sort of coincidence!
The Lord has this effect upon evil. Evil can not hide itself from the presence of the Almighty God. It must manifest itself upon the presence coming near. You with me still?
What could we term this to be? I find myself at a loss for an easy labeling of this phenomenon.Evil bubbles to the surface upon Jesus's presence. Like when you flick on a light, the darkness is on the move and is pushed back, It has to, the light overcomes the darkness.
My thought/question is...At times during our life, there have been moments where we (snap!) become angry or otherwish a heavy emotion befalls us, seemingly...spur of the moment, just like that bang, angry. sometimes the anger can be traced to a trigger, on occasion...with no trigger. Have you ever had this happen to you?
Could it be, that at those times, that we should look for the Lord? Did He just come near?
What do you think about this? Is Edward full of hot water on this? Have you ever thought this or do you think it is possible?
