Steps to Christ

What about Philip's daughters? (Acts 21:9)
And the former prophesy stating..."And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:" (Acts 2:17) ?
They are some of the prophets after Jesus.
Doctrinal revelation? I think not.
When God took some of the Spirit from Moses and put it on the 70 helpers they prophesied when the Spirit came on them but did not do so again.
Numbers 11:25

What difference does that make, pertaining to the knowledge of Philp's daughters prophesying AFTER John the Baptist?

Its irrelevant. There is no record of any doctrinal revelation given through prophets after John the Baptist. The gospel is preached. The days of going to Israel to seek a prophet to inquire of the Lord are long gone.

Steps to Christ is a book written by Ellen G White. This book is one of the greatest of all times. Read it and let me know.
I’m in the process of listening to the audio version. Very inspiring. She shares about what the love of God is about and how our sin holds us back.

Act 2:17-18
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Michelina is a nice name, just as mine Michel. And also some one that search to see what is truth and wrong. I hope that you can speak more to the people everywhere. Take a look in here, and if you are agree, preached it to the world. My English is very UGLY!! Talk for me.
Bless.

Exactly. And Paul sent women to preach as well.
Sure, sister do it don't listen to man. Listen to Jesus. They have forget when Jesus was teaching Mary and Martha. The two sisters of Lazarus. And also who have more love for Jesus. It is the same Mary Magdalene, the first that has come to search for Jesus. What did Jesus says about the woman that wash Jesus feet with her tiers and dried it with her hair and kiss Jesus foot? What did Jesus says about this woman? What did Jesus said to the man? Take a look in here, when you are free. end-times-prophecy.org

Irrelevant?
"Long gone" because God supplies the church bodies with prophets as needed now.
Acts 11:27 and 13:1 testify to the fact that there were still prophets who prophesied after the resurrection of Christ.
Why are you so intent on casting doubt on the gift of prophesy?

Theologians "Create doctrine" using the tools of their trade. God reveals truths - then and now - like when He revealed to Luther in the midst of phony Roman Catholic "Doctrine" that "the Just will live by FAITH".

Just curious: is anyone here in this "discussion" claiming prophets - after the resurrection of Christ - speak truths equivalent and additional to the ones recorded in scripture? I.e. is what they say have equivalent authority as the Bible?

Note that in 1 Corinthians 14:29 Paul instructs the Corinthian church to allow two or three to prophesy and others were to "weigh what is said", i.e. others were to judge the accuracy of the prophecy. The messages via the gift of prophecy were never meant to be taken uncritically as Truth.

1 Corinthians 14:29 (ESV)
Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said.

Care to give us any revelation that you believe is true not given in the NT by one claiming to be a prophet post NT?
I shy await from those who claim to do so in the name of using restoration themes. SDA is mistaken.

The just will live by faith is a strong theme in the NT as in a righteousness that is from first to last by faith. Of course I don't believe Luther claimed to be a prophet.

Yes.
If the prophesy is from God it must be the truth.
God cannot lie.

Agreed: God cannot lie. How does a person determine if the prophecy is from God?
Two ways come to my mind.
Firstly does what they are saying lone up with scripture.
Secondly, in Matthew 7:15,16 We are told "by their fruits you shall know them."

Go and study the foundation of the SDA CHURCH, then you can speak of them. It is better to go to themselves, not other telling of them like you know.
