Strange things people do

I don't drink coffee, but I've heard of one type that definitely qualifies as something strange that people do. It's called "kopi luwak".

So people look for uh... "stuff" left by civets and sift through it looking for coffee beans. When they find them, they wash them (I hope), then dry them, roast them and grind them and dissolve them in water and drink it.

Has anybody here tried this stuff?

I haven't, and won't, try it.

1)Have you ever been waiting for an elevator and the light is lite to go up or down.5 people will come along and push that same button.Do they think the elevator will come faster?
2)When someone says "How are you?". Do they really want to know? What if you said "Take a chair let me tell you how I really am".Would they stick around and listen to how you really are?

What do you observe that is strange or funny.....

Another stranage thing people do, they overtake you on the road, and then slow down :)

I found a recipe but the recipe has a lot of sugar in it.When I bake something I try and keep in to one or less cups of sugar in the recipe. It would be hard to find th Lilikoi fruit as well.

That's the problem, passion fruit is not so easily found here as it is in Hawai'i. It's all over the place there, people grow it in their back yard gardens, pick it in the wild, or get baskets of it at any farmer's market.

those grow all over in my county.

Strange thing I do is talk to animals as if they could understand what I was telling them.

I gave a much needed lecture to my workplace's cat about how impolite it is of her to bring dead mice into our trailer and leave the entrails on the floor. I reasoned to her that having animal cadavers rotting in the corners of her home (and our lunch- and changing room) is rather unhygienic and that the entrails are protein rich and shouldn't be wasted. I expect due to my conclusive and emphatic argumentation the cat will change her behaviour.
Otherwise maybe I should try preparing a power point presentation to show the cat in order to emphasise and illustrate my point. :lol

Cheyenne, will howl if you howl. my wife gets her to do that. I cant count how many times I get the howling if its my birthday from that method or we miss you.

Some people talk to inanimate objects, such as alarm clocks and telephones. When either rings, they will call "I'm coming!"

People that lick their fingers a bit, when they flip a page of any book.

The layer of liquid between on your finger increases the friction between finger and paper. Usually paper is very smooth, so we have a low friction and a poor grip on it. But when your finger is a bit wet our grip is better. Works with any kind of liquid, so if it's not your own book it would be more polite to use tap water instead of licking the finger.
