I'm posting this here to open it up for both parents of teens and teens as well. I'm curious. My son who's in 9th grade has had a few girlfriends, and currently he has one that looks a little more serious than the ones before.
All they do is text!! It's not like I'm complaining. Obviously from a dad's POV, less is more, and I'm good with that. But do teens, even ones in semi-serious relationships, not call each other anymore? Is this typical? You just text and don't care if you hear the other person's voice?
I thought maybe it was just because he was shy toward her, but I'm starting to think this is our new normal.
