Temple Of Chrislam For One World Religion

Sorry brethren, but we can't take off in a Catholic bashing due to the restrictions they have in defending themselves, but I would ask Brother turnorburn, are you saying the wicked one, that little horn of Daniel Chapter Seven, and a church of Babylon are one and the same?

1 Jn 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. To me this wicked one is certainly not a religious organization. Maybe I'm not understanding your application of the words "Wicked one."

As for the opinions of famous protestants of history I give the same credibility; they are opinions.

If anyone is interested look up John Daniel Pontifex Maximus and draw your own conclusions. Chrislam is just a small part of a bigger picture. Be back on Monday, have a great weekend.

Since Rick Warren hit my radar with his book, "Purpose Driven Life", he always struck me this way: a mega church, seeker friendly, Christian light pastor. I don't mean that to have a negative connotation, because that kind of ministry serves a purpose providing it adheres to a biblical doctrine, but I don't pay much attention because I want more.

That said, he opens himself to all kinds of criticism, most of which comes from within the Body of Christ. It's dangerous to rely on what you find on the internet to form opinions, and it can become slanderous to fan the flames of accusations. It's good to expose wolves in sheeps clothing, but it's tragic when a good man who shows he's only human is broken and laid to waist by careless conspirorists.

All I'm saying is we should do our own research and form our impressions based on what a man actually says and does; not on what others report he says and does. Support good ministries that bring people to Christ and strengthen the resolve of people who are already there.

This thread has been untouched for several days, but it's been on my mind. To think that a Godly man could be shredded by people within the Body of Christ is troubling to me. I'm not accusing the OP of anything here. It's more a comment on the use of the Internet by conspiracy theorists.

We should call out heresy when we see it, but I would just say this to people who tear down Christian figures in our culture. One day you'll stand before Christ and have this to answer for. If you're certain He will say "We'll done.", then proceed with what you feel Led to do. But if you are wrong, and you based your accusations on inaccurate rumors or worse yet created them yourselves, that will be a frightening moment. To have a hand in hurting a person who's furthering the Gospel would crush me with guilt.

I like that Mike. Even if a man is overtaken in a fault, we read in Gal 6:1, Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Jesus our redeemer, whom all judgment has been given walks among us, and as part of the church we receive grace in spite of ourselves. Our ministries differ as do our gifts to edify, and like you I hope I don't judge wrongfully some brother in Christ that may be doing the best he can. Not knowing some teachings they have, I may not elect to attend their assembly, but I applaud their efforts if they are reaching the lost.

Well said Brother !

jasonc the one thing that stands out with Osteen for me personally is that I've seen him dismiss the question when he was asked if Jesus is the only way. Point blank, unedited, he said he didn't know and minimized the importance providing other areas of a person's life are in check. That, to me, sounds like a different gospel we're warned to reject.

Eugene thank you, my brother. I should have just PM'd you and asked you to express what I was thinking, because you said it so much better. :)

remember that statement earlier. you might want to visit his web page. he does make a statement about that. videos can be doctored. or he did say that and repented.

If he did repent, that's encouraging. You're response here is confusing though, because he wouldn't have anything to repent about if the video was doctored and he was misrepresented. I mean, what's to repent about if he didn't balk at the question about Christ. It's the most fundamental question a Christian can be asked.

visit his website. most anti-osteen types use only that video and forget to see if he still does it. I was discussing him a few months ago and even watch part of his sermons. his webpage and style aren't my style and are rather soft but some are that soft in approach but he does say clearly jesus is the only way.
