Growth Testing our faith.

Yesterday was Easter Sunday.
When we got home from church,, my wife starting preparing dinner for her family who were on their way to our house.

Then a phone call came.
Our close Christian neighbor up the street called and said her husband just died in front of her in the hospital as he was getting ready to be released.

They shocked him back to life 10 times and said they couldn't do it anymore.
So I went to the hospital and sat with her and she was holding up fine.
The daughter finally called and was on her way from Tennessee to Florida last night.

So I came home and we went back to the hospital after the family left.
My wife and her talked a lot together, other people from church showed up to comfort her.
We prayed for complete return to life.

When we left she just wanted to rest until her daughter came, expected in around midnight.
She was holding strong to Jesus the whole time.

Her husband was on a ventilator and not responding.
What a time for her to go through.
But she agreed with us that Jesus is there with her and will help her get through whatever happens.

The things that happen in life.
It's like we're never ready for them.
It's Jesus that gets us through them.

I'm glad y'all could be there for her. Its interesting...my neighbor lady is dying of cancer. She's doing hospice care right now, in her home. I'm thinking...its interesting, isn't it, how with all our modern technology and such we're still helpless in the face of death.

Rambling...I'm glad you could be there and show a lil Christ-like love to her as she goes through it. I'm also glad she's a solid Christian...that's more than enough to make anybody go to pieces.

Well, it's Tuesday, just talked with the wife.
He's died and been zapped back 117 times.
Now he's coming around, they'll take him off the ventilator sometime soon today and they expect him to be alright.
God intervened here.
No one will believe otherwise.
He should have died and stayed dead on Easter but he belongs to Jesus, and mankind is not in control.
Jesus is in control.
This man and his wife, Charley and Johnny (yes, it's a female name up thar in the hills of Tennessee), they have a testimony and I'm sure a lot of people will hear it with "fire" before everything is said and done.
Praise the Lord.
Amen!!!!!

I have been zapped also, lol.
I am a walking radio now, :lol

These two scriptures came to mind as all of you were faithful to God in comforting this lady and your prayers. The world will never understand the power that is in Gods word.

1Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
