Texas storms and blackouts

Yeah, Ted Cruz was on a right wing conservative radio show on Monday, the host asked him if he had lost power, Ted said NO, he was one of the fortunate ones who didn't lose his power. Then he goes on TV afterward saying how after huddling with the girls for days near the fireplace in a freezing house, they wanted to go someplace warm.

You know, if he needed to go someplace warm, why could have went to Las Vegas and stayed at the Trump hotel. Way to go Ted, support the American economy and the American workers. Yeah, America First! Oh wait Ted, you went to Mexico? Did you take your maid with you?

It is a shame about the power blackouts and such. But Texas kind of brought this on themselves. They choose to isolate themselves from the rest of the US power grid to avoid federal regulations and to make more profits. When you don't maintain and prepare your infrastructure, bad things happen.

You'd think Texas being in the Bible belt and all that they would have understood the parable about building their house on sand.

Texans are paying a heavy price for allowing a corporate controlled government that gives companies a pass in regulations at the expense of individuals. This is the common theme throughout the Texas culture. This only works when things are humming along, but the corporate facade crumbles under any duress and exposes a corrupt government that does not have their constituents backs. Cruz ran away while Rome burned......or rather froze.
