Makes sense Gary I wonder what apples were like 6000 or so years ago...Probably because it's the most common fruit known to man, other than the orange.
Just my guess.

Maybe their choice but not mine.....I don't like them. But I like peaches.Maybe it was a peach.I thought a Jewish apple was an apricot?
That would make it a golden, juicy, delicious fruit.
Genesis 1:29 29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.
Does this verse tell you that God said they could eat of the fruit which had seed?An apple has seeds.
The verse tells me it was ok to eat from the tree that had fruit with seeds. They could eat everything except the fruit from the tree in the midst of the garden. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
The verse tells me it was ok to eat from the tree that had fruit with seeds.
I can not think of a fruit that does not have seeds.
