Why do you suppose mankind chose the apple to be the fruit Adam wasn't suppose to eat?

Probably because it's the most common fruit known to man, other than the orange.

Just my guess.
.

Genesis 1:29 29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.

Does this verse tell you that God said they could eat of the fruit which had seed?An apple has seeds.

why do you suppose mankind chose ?
consider these and many other Scriptures available that show that Yhwh directs all things as He wishes >

"Proverbs 21 King James Version (KJV)
21 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will."

"Proverbs 16 King James Version (KJV)
16 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord."

I thought a Jewish apple was an apricot?
That would make it a golden, juicy, delicious fruit.

i know Kathi the bible doesn't say but mankind did somewhere along the line, i can think of one reason but it hasn't been posted yet.. :wave

Maybe their choice but not mine.....I don't like them. But I like peaches.Maybe it was a peach.

The trees in the garden were one of a kind, so logic tells "me" the fruit from these trees were one of kind also.

When the trees disappeared, so did the fruit.

Son_2:3 As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

They could eat everything except the fruit from the tree in the midst of the garden. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

I guess it is fun to specuate but one day maybe we will know the truth.

The verse tells me it was ok to eat from the tree that had fruit with seeds.

I can not think of a fruit that does not have seeds.
