Hi guys this must have been for my eyes only because it was just an idea of where man got the idea it was an apple that caused death.. when they discovered that the seeds contained death.. "when you eat of it thou shalt surely die" no more no less it was just a thought.. As for it being an apple tree in reality i couldn't say.. but it was fun... thanks for the replies.. Maybe it was something i put in that vegi/fruit shake..

Well, eating a lot of apple seeds could poison someone. Or at least that's what I remember learning in school way back.

O.k. guys this is what happened, as i was making a beet apple milkshake one of the seeds from the apple rolled across the counter as i reached for it i remembered that apple seeds contain cyanide one of if not the most deadly poisons known to man.. then the thought struck me.. maybe that's how mankind arrived at that doctrine/theory.. what do you think..

if you can search and seek and find enough, you'll find that most fruit seeds contain harmless cyanide, similar to but less toxic than the cyanide in cyanocoblamin?(vitamin b12). people have died from b12 cyanide when used inappropriately and in a way that lets the cyanide be 'loose' so to speak.
also, people in the tropics eat the seeds with the fruit, and don't get cancer(many long and short studies show).
but when it was used in the usa, well... now you have to go to mexico, canada or europe or get it underground.

the cyanide in fruit seeds is bound naturally and is not toxic to humans, unless something undesired (or desired?) release the cyanide from the natural safe state.

it turns out that cancer cells have a substance that releases the cyanide when it gets next to a cancer cell, laymen speaking. if the cyanide moves away fron the cancer cell , then some natural defenses in the bodies immune system detoxify it. if the cyanide moves into/against the cancer cell, the cancer cell has no defense against it and thus dies. dr.krebs and about 30,000 scientists and doctors from about 80 to 100 years ago have proven this with every study ever conducted honestly.

Phew! & Oh My! The other day as i was being busy a thought came to me about the seeds in an apple containing cyanide then my thoughts drifted to the story about the tree in the garden and how mankind arrived at the conclusion it was an apple tree.. when they discovered cyanide the story/theory stuck.... Other stories about knowledge are attributed to the apple, else why of all things does a student give his teacher an apple

the tree in the garden was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in..

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
