The absence of the recognition of Israel and it's relation to the Church is arrogant to say the least. It is as if the self righteous church has kicked Israel (the Jew) to the side and claimed Christ unto themselves. The notion is that because Christ was rejected as their Messiah and Son of David, that Christ formed the Church instead or in it's place and rejected the Jew.....Scripture teaches no such thing, this is the teaching of the enemies of Christ.
First of all, Salvation comes through or from the Jew, Christ said that (John 4:22). While the Church began at Pentecost, it was predestined before the creation of the world (Eph. 1:3-12) and it was only the Jew who received the Gospel and formed the Church with 120 Jews (Acts 1:15; 2:1-21). Soon afterwards 3000 Jews were added to the Church (Acts 2:41-47). Then in Acts 4:4, Christ added another 5000 Jews to the Church. The Apostles always preached in the temples or Synagogues. (Act 3:1; 4:1). Notice, Peter is speaking to Israel, not the Gentile (Acts 2:22; 3:12). Even Saul, after his conversion, though he was a minister to the Gentile (Acts 9:15)....Always gave the Gospel to the Jew First (Acts 9:20; 11:19-20; 13:5; 14:1; 17:1; 17:16-17; 18:4; 18:18-19; 19:8). The Gentile was not added to the Church till Chapter 10 of Acts (Cornelius). The fact that Israel was not rejected, but that the kingdom was just delayed is proof of Acts 15:1-18 and even so it is discussed in Romans Chapter 11.
Early in the Church history, starting with the Church at Rome, the Jews have been persecuted and even now, hardly noticed by the Church. The Mystery was not of the Calling out of the Church itself, but that the Gentile was included with sonship ALONG with the Jew to become part of the commonwealth of Israel (Eph. 2:8-22). God will judge those who have forsaken Israel. In 1948 there were no Christian Jews in Israel, The population of Israel as of 2017 is about 7 million. There are 30,000 born again believing Jews at that time. But they received the Gospel by other Messianic Jews.
Every new Born again believer should support missions (first) of the command of Jesus in Acts 1:8. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the Salvation of Israel.
