A simple Google search is all that is required to look up the Asbury University Revival...

I first heard about this after visiting a Southern Baptist church where the pastor said he was interested in looking into it. I was at a Bible study this morning and the study leader brings it up... Have you heard about the Asbury University Revival? Come to find out this is turning out as something that is generating a great deal of interest as even the secular news agencies are reporting in on it. And a neat accompanying news article... My grandfather, Bill Mcleod, was at the center of a very large revival in Saskatoon, Canada, in the late 70's that spread across much of the nation and attracted people from around the globe, and, particularly, the States. He spoke often of his experiences during the revival and what marked it out as of God and not just some ugly, fleshly, Benny-Hinn-style false "revival." Holiness was the primary emphasis, believers "getting right with God," and each other, which sometimes involved public confession of sin and testimonies to the cleansing and spiritually-healing power of God. It was, as in the case of the Asbury event, an all-day, all-night thing that went on for many weeks, purely by word of mouth attracting tens of thousands of observers and participants.

Coming to an end?

Oh, brother...

"This schedule is an attempt to recognize and steward this beautiful, historic moment of spiritual renewal while quickly moving toward a more sustainable campus experience..."

So he's gonna step in an "steward" a move of God. :rolleyes Like they can't attend class at any time for the rest of their lives. How many times will they witness a spontaneous revival taking place at a University?

Administrators.

Kiss your "beautiful, historic moment" goodbye, Lol.

Revivals are tough propositions in this day and time. I would be very careful in quenching the Spirit.
