JESUS CHRIST THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD

JESUS IS NOT THE WORD OF GOD-JESUS IS NOT GOD

II Jn 1:3

3Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Acts 2:36-39

36"Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."

37Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

38Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

39"For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

Rev 1:5-6

5and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

6and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

John 1:18

18No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

1 Tim 2:5

5For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

John 1:18

18No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

Col 1:15

15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Eph 4:4-6

4There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;

5one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

6one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

I Jn 5:5

5Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 Cor 8:6

6yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.

Rev 3:14

14"And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:

Acts 2:22

22"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know--

2 Cor 5:19

19that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Joh 1:12-13

12But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

13who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 6:46-48

46"Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father.

47"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

Matt 3:16-17

16When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

17And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

John 3:16

16"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:18

18"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 1:18

18No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

I Jn 4:9

9In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

48"I am the bread of life.

2 Cor 5:18-19

18Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,

19that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

John 3:13

13"No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.

John 5:37-40

37"And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.

38"But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe.

39"You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

40"But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

Heb 1:1-3

1God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

2has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

3who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Heb 1:5-6

5For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are My Son, today I have begotten You"? And again: "I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son"?

6But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him."

John 5:22-23

22"For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,

23"that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

24"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

I Jn 4:15

15Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

I Jn 4:2-3

2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

I Jn 4:4-6

4You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

5They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.

6We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

John 3:34-36

34"For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

35"The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand.

36"He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

John 3:33

33"He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true.

John 10:37-38

37"If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;

38"but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him."

Phil 2:5-11

5Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

6who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

7but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

9Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

11and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Gal 6:7-8

7Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

8For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

John 4:23-24

23"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

24"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

I Jn 2:22-23

22Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.

Matt 10:33-34

33"But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

34"Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.

Matt 11:27

27"All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

John 20:17

17Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'"

1 Cor 8:4-6

4Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

5For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords),

6yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.

John 8:36

36"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

II Jn 1:9-11

9Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;

11for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

James 1:13

13Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone

Heb 4:14-15

14Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

15For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

(NKJ)

XXX We can see that God cannot be tempted, and we can see that Jesus was tempted the same as we are. The revelation I received here shows me that God was in Christ. So we have one body with two Spirits in it. Is this possible, yes because your spirit is in your body along with the Holy Spirit along with unclean spirits along even the devil. So it is no great feat to recognize that God was in Jesus' body along with Jesus' Spirit along with the Holy Spirit. We can also see from the revelation that we as a people have never heard Gods voice nor seen His form. But we as a people seen Jesus and heard His voice. Now if the only way to the Father is through Jesus, and we cant get there any other way. Then we want to be sure we have the right Jesus to follow. But If Jesus is God as some confess, then the Jesus the bible talks about didnt exsist. And if the Jesus the bible talks about doesnt exsist, we cant get to the Father. And we also know that the Holy Spirit isnt God, because we are suppose to hear and learn from the Holy Spirit, but yet we have never heard Gods voice nor seen His form. And we can see that Jesus is not the Holy Spirit because Jesus said that we couldnt receive the Holy Spirit until He(Jesus) left and went to heaven. And in John we can see why Jesus prayed to God that we the people become one with them in the same way that they are one.

You should take special notice at Rev 3 where Jesus says He was created. And also Col 1-15 And being created means He isnt God, because God does all the creating.

Col 1:15

15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

(NKJ)

II Jn 1:3-4

3Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

4I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father.

(NKJ)

I Jn 5:9-13

9If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son.

10He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.

11And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

13These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

(NKJ)

The KJV was taken from all these versions. The 1611 KJV was the one who added "He" in place of "IT". The He was added to give the Word authority. God is neither male nor female and we call Him a "He". The Holy Spirit is neither male nor female and we call Him a "He". He is a Spiritual title of authority. And the KJV wanted to give the Word(verses) the same title of authority.

Tyndale 1534:

Joh 1:1 In the beginnynge was the worde and the worde was with God: and the worde was God. 2 The same was in the beginnynge with God. 3 All thinges were made by it and with out it was made nothinge that was made. 4 In it was lyfe and the lyfe was ye lyght of men

Bishops 1568:

Joh 1:1 In the begynnyng was the worde, & the worde was with God: and that worde was God. 2 The same was in the begynnyng with God. 3 All thynges were made by it: and without it, was made nothyng that was made. 4 In it was lyfe, and the lyfe was the lyght of men,

Geneva 1587:

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was that Word, and that Word was with God, and that Word was God. 2 This same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by it, and without it was made nothing that was made. 4 In it was life, and that life was the light of men.

And now our modern Concordant Literal Version:

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the word, and the word was toward God, and God was the word. " 2 This was in the beginning toward God. 3 All came into being through it, and apart from it not even one thing came into being which has come into being." 4 In it was life, and the life was the light of men."

GO TO GOD IS THE FATHER

JESUS CHRIST THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD

JESUS IS NOT THE WORD OF GOD-JESUS IS NOT GOD
Jesus Christ is the LOGOS as John 1 points out.
You should take special notice at Rev 3 where Jesus says He was created. And also Col 1-15 And being created means He isnt God, because God does all the creating.
Read Revelation 3 it says no such thing?

Are you as a self identified Christian denying the Deity of Jesus Christ Son God?

Jesus Christ is the LOGOS as John 1 points out.

Are you as a self identified Christian denying the Deity of Jesus Christ Son God?

I said
Not at all, do you know what deity means?
Deity-Divinity

I have seen these words used in so many different context, that I had to go to the library and look in the big dictionary. To try to find out why these people are using it the way they are. It amazed me. The carnal language is dangerous because it is satans play ground. Satan can use the carnal mind, change a few words, exaggerate anything there. But the spiritual mind which is only verses, he has no power. He can only try with a piece of a verse, and this is why I tell everybody. If you ever get a piece of a verse, go look it up for verification. But he(satan) will not use a whole verse because that is glorifiing Christ. And satan is anti-christ. Now when I speak of verses I'm speaking of new testament verses, because we know that he(satan) quotes old testament verses. And yes the Holy Spirit quotes old testament verses to. But Christ is the new testament. Anyway check out these deffinitions from the big dictionary at the library.

deity 1 a: often cap : divine nature or rank: the essintial nature of a god or of a supreme being: DIVINITY

di-vin-i-ty 1:the quality or state of being divine: nature or essence of God: GODHEAD (the divinity of Jesus) a celestial being inferior to the supreme God but superior to man<one of the subservient divinities>

Now it doesnt say that Jesus is God, what it says is He is second in command, it says Jesus is inferior to the supreme God but over every other creature in heaven and on earth.

I got my deffinitions from websters new world dictionary copyright 1993

Col 2-9

I think your totally missing what that one verse was saying. It was talking about the fullness of God working through Jesus. Has nothing to do with the deity of Jesus.

Col 2:8-9

8Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

9For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

2 Cor 5:19

19that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Stricked Rules Of Believing

Trinity is NOT in the Word of God. Deity is NOT in the Word of God. God the Son is NOT in the Word of God. God the Holy Spirit is NOT in the Word of God. What is in the Word of God is. Dont think beyond what is written, Dont add one thing to it or take one thing away from it.

1 Cor 4:6

6Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.

(NKJ)

Rev 22:18-19

18For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;

19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

(NKJ)

John 12:48-50

48"He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him-- the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

49"For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.

50"And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak."

(NKJ)

AND THE DEITY OF SATAN

xxxThe devil is a deity.

4567 Satanas (sat-an-as');

of Aramaic origin corresponding to 4566 (with the definite affix); the accuser, i.e. the devil:

KJV-- Satan.

1140 daimonion (dahee-mon'-ee-on);

neuter of a derivative of 1142; a daemonic being; by extension a deity:

KJV-- devil, god.

The only three in one trinity god in the bible is the dragon, devil, satan.

2316 theos (theh'-os);

of uncertain affinity; a deity, especially (with 3588) the supreme Divinity; figuratively, a magistrate; by Hebraism, very:

KJV-- X exceeding, God, god [-ly, -ward].

2 Cor 11:14-15

14And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

(NKJ)

II Th 2:4

4who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

(NKJ)

xxx There is only one three in one god in the whole bible. Satan is useing the trinity to mock the living God.

Rev 20:2

2He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

I get the sense that this topic will not survive. We've had this discussion elsewhere and the topic got heated. CF.net affirms the Trinity as do most (but not all) members. It's considered the orthodox view.

If we're going to have a discussion, there needs to be care taken for how things are said. Also, there's the pesky guidelines. Please note them.

Recommendations and Guidelines for an effective Bible Study

Though not exhaustive, I thought it might help to better define the purpose of the Bible Study Forum, and by doing so, better assist one another with a clearer method to understanding God’s word.

Guidelines

1.Scripture is the basis of study. Stay close to the text.
2.Keep your post to a manageable length where others can respond to a section of scripture as opposed to an entire article.
3.We encourage your understanding of a text. If you wish to post snipits from a website, please make sure it accompanies your comments of the text. Excessive copy / paste from web sites are frowned upon.
4.If you disagree with an interpretation of scripture, think out your response according to the specific text and post accordingly.
5.No debating doctrines or denominational differences. (E.G. TULIP, OSAS, Purgatory, Papacy etc)

The following considerations are suggested to assist in our study of Holy Scripture. This method utilizes an instructional and comprehensive approach

1.Exegesis; Critical explanation or analysis, especially of a text. (I.E. What does the text mean?)
2.Hermeneutics; The theory and methodology of interpretation, especially of scriptural text. (I.E. How did you come to the conclusion of your Exegesis? Does it agree with the Bible as a whole?)
3.Redaction; to draw up or frame ( I.E. a statement, proclamation, etc.)

37"If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;

I can tell you this: This post and the one following are way too long. Just a bunch of verses and most people are going to scroll past them all (or not even bother to read). Keep it pithy. It's not a blog. It's a discussion and the less you say, the more will be read. It's a fact. Besides, long posts are discouraged here and if you can't make a point in shorter bursts, you'll lose your audience.

I said
Not at all, do you know what deity means?
Deity-Divinity
There is a distinction in the Greek. In Colossians 2:9 the theotes is clearly Deity and not divine. And notice Paul is speaking of Jesus:

Colossians 2: NASB
8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. 9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority;

theotēs: θεότης

deity
  1. the state of being God, Godhead
G2330

Fullness of Deity...How much more "full" does God the Son, The LOGOS, The Son of God need to be?

Thank you for your participation!

Very good. I don't debate scripture, I trade talents. I find it annoying to just post a piece of the truth when Jesus has given me a whole revelation on a subject.

I said
lolol Ok what is pithy?
Keep it short and sweet. We don't need a book. Small bites. I can tell you that most people prefer it that way.

Also, consider this:

Edward Everett delivered a two-hour speech at Gettysburg that was slated to be the "Gettysburg address" that day. His speech had 13,607 words. It's rarely read.

Contrast that with Lincoln's speech. It took two minutes and had less than 275 words. But in that short speech, he said volumes.

I don't know what you know about the revelations of Jesus Christ. But I do know this. Anyone who tries to change one looses the rest after that.

I think that's a different subject Squeaky. If that was pointed at Papa Zoom I have never seen him change one word.
I also think Papa Zoom is correct in what he is saying. Because of the flesh most people cannot concentrate on a lengthy post. That is why people are advised to have a break inbetween studies. The human brain can only take in so much information in a short time. Unless you are otherwise blessed

Heb 1:1-3

1God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

2has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

I Jn 2:22-23

22Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.

Thank you for posting the scriptures that you believe, makes your point.

However, I don’t the phrase “Jesus is not God”, within any of the passages you presented.

I do find that Jesus Christ is not God the Father, in those passages.

I believe that Jesus Christ is God, who has come in the flesh.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:1,14

  • the Word was with God
  • the Word was God.
  • the Word became flesh

again

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.
1 Timothy 3:16

  • God was manifested in the flesh,

John makes it clear, that those who do not confess that He came in the flesh are an antichrist.

For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 2 John 7

  • many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh.

The apostles taught us that Jesus is the Son of God, and He Himself is God. Not God the Father, but God; The Son.

Peter’s Testimony of Him:

Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: 2 Peter 1:1

Paul’s Testimony of Him:

looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, Titus 2:13

John’s Testimony of Him:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

The writer of the Book of Hebrews says it this way:

8 But to the Son He says:

“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”
10 And:“You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
Hebrews 1:8-10

I have more scriptures to share but this is enough for us to discuss each other’s perspective.

God bless you as you study these things.
