Maybe one of the biggest mysteries of all time isn't all that mysterious after all. :chin

I loved Sagan's observation. He noted that there are all sorts of mysterious airplane and boat disappearances over oceans, but never a case for trains.

I have a spot in my garden that I call the Bermuda Triangle. Everything I've tried planting there dies. The stuff around it grows just fine.

:)

Yep. No triangles where we can know for sure what happened.

We are sure methane bubbles do not support a ship, enabling it to float. I am not sure if this phenomenon (released from the ocean in this area) also affects aircraft?

I AM sure that navigational difficulties affect all types of travel in the area. The biggest contributor is people setting off for a distant island, not accounting for the fact that a slight error in course will result in them never being seen again.
