I'm a chatty sort. How was your day.

I got off work less than an hour ago, stopped by the gas station on the way home and got a fountain drink. I saw a family of ducks crossing the road and took a picture of them. Just relaxing now and listening to my "anxiety calm" playlist.

I pretty much have the same routine everyday as my husband and I are retired. Get up in the morning having coffee and checking out CF. If not going to doc visits between my husband, sister-in-law and myself I usually stay home and enjoy playing computer games as I am a homebody type person. Life is what one makes it to be and I try to maintain a happy attitude, with the help of Jesus.

I work as a receptionist, so my hours are pretty set day to day. Typically I work Monday to Friday 7 am to 2 or 3 pm.

I've been in poor mental health all year long, not many people understand. My calming playlist is getting a lot of use, and seems to be one of the better coping mechanisms I have.

I've done a few... nothing elaborate. I'm actually more into roleplay writing these days, it's collaborative and I like the element of surprise that comes with it. As for what fandom currently, ahhh... it's gonna be very controversial for this website. It's a series called Hazbin Hotel, and the character in my avatar is the protagonist, Charlie. She's the daughter of Lucifer, for one, and her mission is to redeem sinners in Hell by reforming them so they can go to Heaven. Very theologically inaccurate, of course, and the show has a lot of adult humor and language. I see it as harmless as a work of fiction, and the themes in the show have had me pondering biblical truths.

If my 2023 me saw this, I would've thought that you've gone insane, and that you should never watch this Satanic show (I'll not watch it still, I just don't like it). Buuuuuut, I'm playing Shin Megami Tensei 1 (through emulation), and I'm having a good time (as long I get new weapons and armors and not getting destroyed by enemies), so that will be a friendly-fire

My mom lost her job due to a car crash and ended up in hospital, then released, but she went back to the ER today (self admitted) with what's probably cellulitis.

People always expect me to be beside myself when stuff like this happens, but I've always handled this kind of thing rather well. It's Normal Everyday Life where I tend to be emotionally unstable. (I wish people expressed similar concern when I spiral for seemingly no reason as they do when Big Stuff happens.)

Anyways.... yeah. Please do pray for my mom.
