The dreams that I dream-35- Faith Challenge
Some time back, I saw a dream where I have to get past a huge door that is locked. I have a big suitcase in my hand and I am trying hard to find a way to get through the door to the other side. Finally I find an opening at the top of the door and with great difficulty I squeeze myself through the opening. Once on the other side, I heave a sigh of relief, but as I look around, I see that I could have just walked around the door to the other side. I had totally missed that aspect in my struggle to reach the other side.
Passing through a financial crisis those days made me struggle hard to find ways to meet the urgent needs. Most of these were efforts on my part without putting my faith in action. Here the Lord was showing me that there is another way to get past these hurdles and that is putting my faith into action by praying and claiming the promises of God that He has given to us in His Word. There may be a period of waiting too in this case.
Often our faith falters when we land in trying situations. We pray and there is no immediate answer and so we resort to the plans that our minds conceive immediately instead of waiting on the Lord. Sometimes we cannot stand up to the faith-challenge. Of course, we may get through the crisis, only to find that there could have been an easier way.
